I'm floundering a bit with specific actions towards major goals: I resolve to save enough money to pay off the new windows we installed last year without incurring interest and fees, and then save enough to cover infertility treatments, all without getting too stressed out about it.

I resolve to stay active, which is not a problem now with bandy, hockey, broomball, and bowling leagues all happening, but balance that with spending quality time with my husband, friends, and family.

I resolve to get back in running shape and lose the 20 pounds I've gained since trading my grad school flexible schedule for a desk job and long hours.

If anyone has tips on achieving a healthy, balanced, financially secure, stress-free life, please pass them along! My current steps include a moratorium on eating out and more cooking at home with better ingredients, using the YNAB budgeting software, and trading afternoon activity breaks for afternoon chocolate breaks.

Yup!!! We got thisss....Just have to keep reminding myself how important little changes are and how they add up~

Fantastic goals! Trying to eliminate things that are 'pre-made' or 'per-packaged' helps me. On a side note I really want to try to make my own 'power' bars/protein/granola bars with real ingredients!

Mine is to be a better vegetarian. It's amazing how you can cut out meat but still eat a lot that is unhealthy. I want to again up my fruit and veggie intake, be brave and try some new foods, and overall continue to work on eating REAL food.

My second goal is just to be the best mommy I can be to my baby girl!

Hello ladies!

Besides maintaining my grades in school....My goal this year is to get pregnant with my first baby w/ my husband! AND have a healthy pregnancy.

I want to get in-shape first though! I really would like to get to a lower weight. I'm thinking between 25-40lbs before I get pregnant. =)

Mine is to just be overall more healthy. To make healthy food choices, eat more "real" foods rather then processed foods, eat less sushi (to save money and calories!), and to move more.

I'm working on losing some weight to get in better baby shape... I seem to have put on ten lbs since my miscarriage in August and another ten in the last two years since going back to school. Time to get that twenty ( and then some) under control to be healthier happier and more positive. All those things lead to baby right???

For the first time in my life I actually didn't gain any weight over the holidays (being sick for a week helped control the overeating) so I'm making a resolution this year that doesn't have to do with losing weight and it feels strange. I want to start putting my kitchen to better use this year so my resolution is to do some sort of baking every weekend :)

I am determined to lose weight and get in great shape. My main focus is to remain stress free and hopefully this will allow me to get pregnant soon. This is my time to do what I want to do, thanks to my hubby, so I will be volunteering with several organizations and I'm really excited. Not sure how long I will be doing this full time but I'm going to enjoy it for the time being.

Aside from getting in shape, I'm focusing on healthier things in general.

I've been researching recipes for natural skin and hair care products, drinking more herbal tea and less commercially prepared drink mixes, taking steps toward starting a vegetable garden, that sort of thing.

I really feel that we humans have put too much emphasis on convenience and instant gratification, and a lot of the time we choose those over more healthier options -- like picking up burgers at the drive thru versus grilling burgers at home.

So I'm giving this more natural approach a try, and I hope it sticks! Especially given that many of these options are cheaper than purchasing commercially prepared stuff, too.
