I was ttc, but now we're on hold until August-ish because we planned a Disney trip for my daughter's 5th.

For now I'm trying to drop some weight. I bought decaf so I could do half and half but now I'm back to full caff. lol. I'm trying to wean myself down to 1 coffee a day instead of 2. I need to start taking vitamins...I eat pretty healthy though so I usually just eat my kid's multivitamin. Also need to take fish oil again!

I am the same as LBMAMA. Most regular multis give me horrible nausea from whatever type of iron they use. However, I also tend to be anemic, so I need the iron. I started using Rainbow Light prenatals, and they don't make me sick! I need to get back in the pattern of taking them with my BC.

I do well when I eat healthy, I just have to stick with it for more than a couple of weeks...

Just call me La. Most everyone else does.

I started eating healthier and cut out bread, pasta and that stuff. I also re-added yoga to help with stress and am taking several vitamins including folic- acid.

Not all multi-vitamins are created equal. I got really bad stomach pains from the iron in several brands and then finally found RAW brand which didn't impact me at all but of course they are massive horse pills!

I did miss sushi a lot in my first pregnancy and randomly craved beer (I'm not even a beer drinker). I've cut sushi out of my diet right now because I've managed to make my sushi eating as unhealthy as possible. I love the tempura and spicy-mayonaisey type sauces on my maki, especially salmon sushi pizza! So technically I miss sushi now and I'm not even pregnant!

Vitex? Interesting! I'll have to look into that.

I have heard of (and used) Maca root, but fell out of that routine. I should probably get back on it and see if it helps even my hormones out! :)

Things I've changed since TTC: taking prenatal vitamins for a few months now, at the recommendation of my OB/GYN. I had to set an alarm on my phone to help me remember to take it. I found that if I take a whole vitamin at once, it makes me sick, so I have to chop them in half and take one with breakfast and one with dinner. That really helps, but it means I have to remember to take vitamins twice a day. lol

I've also started working more on my core muscles. I have a lower back defect and I'm worried that carrying a baby around for 9 mos (whatever the size!) will really get me in trouble. Plus having stronger ab muscles to help push a baby out during labor wouldn't be a bad thing, either! When doing arm and leg workouts, I remind myself that I'm going to have to carry an infant, a diaper bag, etc. AND I'm going to have to carry them up and down stairs in my house, so every little bit of extra strength is really going to help me there, too.

This month I started a Fertility Yoga routine. And my new job (better schedule, better salary AND less stress!) will start Feb. 1. Not really related to the whole TTC thing, but less stress is a good thing, I suppose.

The hardest thing for me: giving up caffeine and eating less sugar. Can't seem to get those cravings under control. Maybe the things above can help with that as well...

Interesting...I will have to look into this. My LP is very short and some of what I have been reading says it helps endometriosis.

One thing that I tried this month and the month i got pregnant last time was I started taking Vitex. I noticed that I had shorter LP and irregular cycles. So i read up about it and started taking it when I got my AF. Took it the whole cycle and have gotten pregnant each cycle I used it.

I am lucky I am not a big coffee drinker... I drink more tea, but not even very often. But I guess I will have to make sure to drink caffeine free tea instead!

I think the hardest thing for me to give up will be sushi and wine! They are two of my favourite things! I am not a huge drinker, but I love a glass of wine (or two) on the weekend and I eat sushi probably at least once a week (I know I should probably give this one up to help my wallet and waistline though lol), but I think that will be the hardest part for me! I am trying to cut down to start preparing but I am not liking it! haha

I have been taking prenatal vitamins. Also when i got pregnant before I bought a book about eating well while pregnant and have since been following the suggestions for a non-pregnant person. It has helped me to lose weight which is great. Have limited to my pop from once a day to a couple a week. I never drank coffee and was never much of an alcohol drinker so no problem cutting those out.

I have been taking prenatal vitamins for awhile. My doctor had originally suggested taking at least 3 months before starting to conceive. I've also tried B-6 and Zinc to prolong my LP, but not entirely sure that is helping. I've tried Maca for ovulation. I also bought some progesterone cream to try, but have been too afraid to try it. And I have been exercising alot.

I have started taking pre-natal vitamins... I take them every morning with breakfast... I find it hard to remember but I normally take BC pill so am just "replacing" that pill with a multi-vitamin. I have also really started to exercise on a daily basis, even if its just 10 min, to get into a good habit, and flossing my teeth daily as well! I am slowly introducing new things a little at a time and it seems to be working so far!

I won't be drinking alcohol around the holidays (I'm not a big drinker, but that's when I would drink normally). I've also reduced my coffees down to one a day. I'm also starting to take pre-natal vitamins... I find it hard to remember to take vitamins period, so that is a big challenge in itself! Hoping to TTC very soon. :)

What have you changed in your life in order to get ready for TTC? Anything different you have tried while TTC?
