I have no idea JOJOSLIVIN. Usually the first week is OK, but the second week I'm analysing everything that goes on in my body. I doesn't help that I'm feeling crappy then because of PMS as well.. Guess the only way is to distract and pamper yourself.

We're not TTC, and I've (thankfully) never had a scare. I'd probably wait till a few days or so after AF is scheduled. I've got time to figure that out, though; we won't start TTC until end of next summer at the earliest.

Any advice on how to relax and live life in the weeks between O and AF? There are days where I can't think of anything but being preggers. Those 2 weeks seem like a year :-)

nothing is impossible, the word itself says i'm possible!!!

making it possible one step at a time

I wait until about when AF is due. With DD I only took one test at 12dpo (and then RE confirmed and monitored with bloodwork). This cycle AF is due tomorrow and now just today I'm thinking maybe I should buy a test soon. Of course, this cycle is different because I didn't think we had a chance at all (5 years of trying, and as soon as AF starts we are going back to the RE to do IUI next cycle) but AF is due tomorrow and I'm not having my normal pre-AF spotting.

I wait until I'm late, then scare my DH since he's not really ready. I'm hoping when we actively start trying I will keep this process up, but who knows.

I always try to hold out until I'm late, but almost never make it. However I don't consider myself a POAS addict.

I was a POAS addict. With my first pregnancy, I wasn't as bad and didn't even realize I was late a week before I tested. With the second one (after the miscarriage), I totally still POAS at least once a week through the first trimester (we lost the first one at 11 weeks). So glad that I stocked up on dollar store tests. It was only after I got the first BFP that I bought a digital test so that I could see the words.

I guess, technically, I would say when I was late, but that has never happened to me. LOL

My personal philosophy was to never test unless I was late. My reasoning was that a negative test taken early always left room for, "well, maybe it's just too early". I definitely still tested early a few times, but it helped with the cost once I bought a pack of cheapie strips.

Once I got a BFP, I totally kept testing every day for a week. My husband thought I was nuts, but it was so awesome to see two lines, finally, after almost two years of trying!

I was 6 days late this cycle. I waited until 1 day after AF was due and then POAS every other day (even once at work!) until AF came.

We're not TFAS yet, but plan to at the end of the summer and don't have the most reliable method of BC right now (b/c if it happens, it's OK).

With DD I POAS a lot, I didn't get a BFP w/ an HPT until after a beta draw gave me the BFP (I was late & we were trying, so I insisted they give me a test). So it's hard for me to believe the BFN, especially when I'm late!

I was a POAS addict. :) Even after a beta draw confirmed my pregnancy, I peed on four more sticks over a period of a week to see positive lines.

Question of the week for June 16-22. When do you take a pregnancy test? Do you wait until your missed period or are you a POAS addict?
