I got a BFP with LO the month before we planned on trying. I still wouldn't have met my goal but I was really disappointed to be so far from it and pregnant. I stayed on SP(babyfit is dead. There are actual tumbleweeds that will blow out of your computerscreen if you switch over) and just changed what I tracked to make sure I got enough of the nutrients recommended for pregnant women. The "eating for two" thing is a lie. You only need 300 extra calories and only in the last 2 trimesters. So I tracked calories religiously to make sure I was getting enough but not overeating. I did very well until 3rd trimester when there were concerns for babies health. Then I ballooned up and ended up gaining 50+ lbs total :( But the weight all came off 2 months PP. I just stopped tracking and gained it all back by time LO was 6 months old. So here I am again!

I was still overweight when my now 17-month old was conceived. I kept up with my exercise routine until I was 34 weeks but could've done better with eating. I gained 34 lbs and was back to my pre-pregnancy weight by the time my son turned six months old. Next time around I want to start at a lower weight and will be much more careful with my eating.

I can and I will - watch me!

I was not at my goal weight with my pregnancy. I didn't really change anything that I was doing before except that I was too sick and tired to work out. I ended up gaining a lot of weight with my pregnancy because I got severe pre-eclampsia, but most of that went away right after the baby was born and my blood pressure stabilized.

I would say do what you can, and not go too crazy with the food. My sister is currently pregnant and wasn't at her goal weight. She's 21 weeks tomorrow and hasn't gained a pound. The baby is developing as it should.

I would say for the most part follow your diet plan as you would if you weren't pregnant, and exercise moderately as long as the doctor okay's it. Some women who are more severely overweight will actually lose weight during pregnancy; the baby still gets the necessary nutrients, and the mother loses fat due to a healthier life. Regardless, always consult with a doctor.

Hello! I got pregnant before I reached my goal. During the first couple of months, the nausea and the exhaustion made it very hard for me to eat well and exercise, but now that I'm 15weeks, I'm exercising more. My food aversions are making it hard for me to eat correctly, but because I'm eating smaller amounts, I'm, so far, able to maintain a good weight. For exercise, you can do as much as you did before, but don't push yourself, just try and maintain.

Hey! How many of you have gotten pregnant before you reached your goal weight? What changes did you make to your diet and exercise plan to support your baby's health?
