I just had mine out today and it felt like cramping for a couple minutes max. Definitely not as painful as the insertion.

I had mine removed at the end of June due to getting pregnant (it was ectopic but they took the IUD out before they knew) and it didn't hurt at all! I love how the previous poster said it was like pulling out a tampon!

I have had an IUD twice and had it removed twice. The removal is virtually painless. It's almost the same as pulling out a tampon.

Is it wrong to fight time, to turn it back or push it forward? Time was never mine.

I'm curious to know from anyone who has had an IUD taken out on what to expect as far as pain is concerned. Luckily I have 6 months until I have to take it out, but I'm meeting with my doctor next week, and I want to be somewhat prepared with questions for her. Any thoughts or opinions?
