We had a little stall in our workouts due to us both being sick, but I am back at it tonight. Tonight I'm doing shred level 2.

You don't have to go through all that trouble for me....I found a couple of other posts that pretty much said it was NMTZ minus 2 circuits. So I think I'll just wing it with my DVD. I also found out that it's 49 minutes....why not just do the whole thing?!?!?!?!? I was really hoping it was only a 20 minute work out....guess not though.

The quick NMTZ was something that was just on-demand. It just went through a few of the circuit exercises. WE just did our own warm up/cool down.

And yes, NMTZ is a killer! I thought I was going to die. But, all of her videos are definitely helping me to tone up. Tonight we're doing Shred Level 2.

Anyway, if I get a chance, I will write down what exercises she has us do and post it on here for you. I'll try to do that for you tonight!

Hey Sunny I have a question for you....I did NMTZ last night and thought I was going to die!!!! How does the QTZ work. On the DVD you can select a circuit or do the entire video. Last night was the first time I've even used it so is QTZ just the circuit selection???? And does it still do a warm up and cool down???

I started it last week but I'm not doing it everyday, I do it every other day to give my body rest.

I'm enjoying it so far! By the end of it my arms feel like jello and I sweat pretty good. emoticon

My arms are puny I should buy some 3lb weights.

I soooo need something else to focus on. I need to just forget about TTC for a while. I regained about 8 lbs with these last 2 mc and really want to feel better, as well as look better. It's amazing what those 8 little pounds can do to you emotionally.

Our annual Halloween/Aniversary party is a week from Saturday and I would love to try to get a few of those pounds off (not looking for miricals, just a couple pounds).

Also, I plugged the schedule you shared into my calendar that I look at everyday and it took me pretty close to Thanksgiving (a little over a month away!!! Where does the time go???) I think I was about 13 days away so I just repeated the last 13 days of the program (adding 30ds L3 also) to get me all the way up to Thanksgiving.

Thanks again for sharing and good luck to you both!!

Cool! I hope you like it as much as I do. It's a grueling training schedule, but I think it will be worth it. We're taking it one day at a time...and listening to our bodies. If we are just sore, we'll workout, but we won't do anything that will lead to an injury. Just listen to your body.

And it is giving us something else to focus on while we are TTC.

I think I'm going to jump into the program with you. I have all 3 videos I just need to start doing them again....Like now!!! I'll make today my day one. It's much easier for me if i can drag my butt out of bed and get it over with first thing in the morning!! I'll work on that part for next week and just get in the workouts this week.

Thanks for sharing.

Hubby and I have started it. We're actually doing 3 different Jillian Michaels videos. We're following the Jillian Michaels 30 day slim-down workout plan that is on exercisetv.tv. It is this:
http://tinyurl.com/ylyskfz

All of the videos are available on-demand for free right now (although I bought the 30 day shred off of amazon really cheap.)So far we have worked our way through Day 4. We ended up having to take one day off because we had to take the dog to the vet and didn't get back until late and we are taking Tuesdays off from the plan because we have Tai Chi. We've done the Shred Level 1 a few times (killed us the first few times, but it IS getting a little easier each time we do it.), No More Trouble Zones (which KILLED US...but it is such a good 40 minute circuit workout), and we are doing Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism tonight. It's circuit training, but concentrates mostly on cardio and using your own body as weight resistance rather than using weights. I am proud to say that we have made it through each workout! I mean, I have do some modifications and I think I am going to die each time, but I make it through it!

I really do love what we are doing. I mean...I am sore and exhausted, BUT I am getting great workouts in shorter periods of time and I do feel like I am getting results...even this early in the game.

I also think that having a kind of set schedule for ourselves (following the exercisetv.tv plan) is really good for us to kick-start our getting back into shape. Sometimes I think DH and I are too easy on ourselves when we are choosing what to form of exercise to do...not pushing ourselves enough. Jillian is definitely giving us the push we need and making us realize that we CAN do more than we even think we can.

Thanks for the information, ladies! We're tired and sore, but happy that we are realizing our potential and looking forward to all the body changes that will result!

I did it! I did 30 workouts in 35 days when I first got it. It is brutal, but you cannot beat that workout in just 20 minutes or so! Good luck with it. :) I will say I could not walk at all after day 2! And I have only done the level 3 workout twice. Whew!

I LOVE your biggest loser idea! Sounds awesome. I'd try it, but hubby is dropping weight without even trying (and even eating things like sweet potato pancakes with carmel topping, followed by a crumb cake... while I am eating very low calorie & just gained 6 lbs... HOW is that even right??)
I'm beginning the 30DS again, after being away from it for a couple of months... Hopefully that'll shock my body back into shape. I love the way my body feels after doing 30DS for a week. emoticon

Cool! I am so excited to do this! I can't wait for it to start happening.

I have decided to make it a home version of the Biggest Loser. But instead of people going home...whoever loses the most % each week will win a prize. I made up little slips of paper that say "You will receive a 1/2 hour massage from your partner...", "You have won $10 to spend at Barnes and Nobles.", etc. I put each slip of paper in an envelope and I am going to throw them into a drawer. Each week, the winner picks an envelope. So, we'll be doing our 30 day shred but trying to keep it fun! It also might help to keep us motivated when we want to give up!

Cool...thanks! Once the DVDs arrive, we'll be starting the 30 day countdown to fitness! I think I am going to propose it to DH as doing our own Biggest Loser competition in our home! Maybe make little prizes for the winner each week...like the winner will be able to pick out the movie for our date night, or win a massage, etc.

That's everything. All you need is a mat and dumbbells. For most of the exercises I use 3lb weights but for some I switch to 5lbs.

What equipment do we need for the workout? At home we have exercises mats, dumbbells, and one of those exercise balls. Just want to make sure that we have everything!

I use it and love it. Make sure you have good shoes!! I didn't do it for 30 days streight although there are several people that do. I do it 3 on one off to give myself time to recover in between. Also, take your measurements when you start. Many people see better results in their measurements than in their weight. There is a 30day shred team on here if you want to stop by and look at some of the threads.

Best of luck to you!!!

DH and I have been rededicating ourselves to getting into shape. With his being out of work, medical issues that came up, and TTC, we just fell out of our good habits like exercising! So, over the last 2 weeks we have been getting back to the gym.

I am thinking of doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I know it will be grueling, but we both really want to get ourselves in shape. Losing weight can only help DH's medical issues (and help us with TTC) and I can certainly use it, too! I figured that I will put the 30 day schedule on the fridge and we will check off each day as we accomplish the workout. I am not a huge fan of Jillian ( I LOVE her counterpart, Bob, on the biggest loser) but I do love the results that she gives people. So, I am going to give it a try.

Anyone use the 30 day shred? Did you like it? Any tips?
