Exercise!!

I'm a cancer survivor and I was told exercise is a great preventative. I still have a hard time doing it. Ugh.

Not happy with myself. I have been on this journey for almost 6 weeks now. Yes, I'm short, yes, I'm older. But darn it! I would have expected to lose some weight! I have been watching and writing down what I eat but last night had real issue. Weighed myself, measured myself. No weight lost at all. Down less than an inch in various places. Working out 5 days a week. In fact, last night just lost it. Had a few drinks, lots of chocolate and no willpower or motivation. Don't feel like continuing at all as it doesn't feel like it's worth it. But I do know I feel a lot better. I have stopped wearing my foot sock and can actually do 20 min on the bike now at a different level. I won't quit, but not feeling to great about it right now. Okay B**tch session over. Sorry folks, just needed to vent.

I ADORE my digital food scale! The inaccuracy of volume measures and having to constantly wash them, etc. was such a pain for me. Now I know 1/2c cottage cheese is 113g, hit tare and measure my strawberries on top to track or whatever. I've memorized a lot of weights. 14g is a tablespoon of most liquids. 85g is a serving of fresh greens.

I can improve in all areas. However, portion control is my biggest issue. So, I bought some smaller plates and going to see how that goes.

I'm pretty good at meeting nutrition goals and walking the dog, but I'm having the hardest time transitioning to something more intense cardio-wise. Mostly it's motivation, but the few times I've tried, it's also a big leap from ambling along at 2.5mph for an hour to 160bpm aerobics. I have 5lb dumbbells, a stability ball, and the 10min workout DVD that came with the ball.

You?
