2015 race schedule from the east coast:

April 18 - Asbury Park 13.1
May 17 6 flags olympic tri
May 24- Nav E Sink 2.4 swim
June 28 CAC full 140.6
July 12 War at the Shore tri - long
August 2 Belmar tri-sprint
August 9 AC Tri -long
September 20 - Princeton 70.3

I also need to reexamine my nutrition now after a long December month of not thinking. I need to get down 15-20 pounds before first race.

I would love to hear about the national tri - too far for me to travel in this stage of my life. Have either of you done it before?

I recognize those race names and realize you are a fellow Minnesotan! Our paths may have crossed at some races.

Fun looking schedule! I recently took up classic Nordic skiing, but I'm not racing that yet.

Great thread. It's time for me to change things up a bit this year, so I'm trying something new.
Here's my race/activity calendar for 2015...so far:
January-trek up Kilimanjaro!
early Feb: City of Lakes Loppet 20K
mid Feb: American Birkebeiner Korte (25K)
early May:Lake Minnetonka 1/2 marathon
Late June: Lutsen 39- a mountain bike race
early July: senior Olympics - sprint
early August: see you at Nationals-Oly

That's all I have for now. I'm sure I'll be adding a few more activities onto this calendar in the months ahead.
If any of you live in cold climates with a decent amount of snow, give Nordic Skiing a try. It gets me exercising outdoors, which keeps things way more interesting than the treadmill or riding a stationary bike.

Happy New Year everyone.

With the new year I'm busy starting to sign up for races - and stepping on the scale for the first time in months. Need to make changes.

What is your race schedule for the year? Here's my plan so far -
Early May - Duathlon - 3 miles/14/2.5
Late June - Olympic triathlon
Early August - Triathlon Nationals - Olympic distance
Late August - Sprint Triathlon - close to nationals but a race and distance I love.

Life is good!
