That is really huge, way to keep the right attitude. your progress is way more than the scale. Measurements are far more revealing.

keep going and let us know how it goes!!

I can't wait for the 1st of the month. It's both the day of reckoning AND the first day for a fresh start to the month. It's the day I MEASURE!

You'll notice I didn't say "WEIGH." While I do weigh-in, it's only one of several things I measure, because weight loss isn't one of my goals, at least not directly. My goals are to get physically fit and healthy again, and if I increase my muscle mass, lower my BMI and drop a few pounds in the process, so be it. But I only weigh-in so I can adjust the calorie counter on the cardio equipment I use to keep it as accurate as it can be.

So, what do I measure? Glad you asked.

Body measurements: Chest, waist (around the navel), hips (around the fattest part of my butt), thighs (near the top of the leg), arms (around the bicep with arm bent) and my neck. Yes, my neck. I carry a lot of fat around my neck so I measure it.

Internal measurements: Blood pressure (I actually measure this weekly, but only track it monthly), Resting heart rate (pulse) a great measure of overall physical fitness, Cholesterol levels (I donate blood every 8 weeks and my blood bank does this for free) and triglycerides, Body fat (I do underwater weigh-ins because they are the most accurate).

There you have it. This is how I measure my success. As long as these things keep improving, I know I'm making progress.

Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels and looks.
