I'll tell you, for my money, you can't spend your time any better than on Coach Gerry Rodgrigues' blog Tower26.

Here's the link to his website http://tower26.com/
Here's the link to his blog http://tower26.com/t26-blog/

What's great about his site is it is geared for three levels, Accomplished swimmers, capable swimmers, and "Newbies" to the sport. It's for triathletes of any level and open water swimmers. I have spent hours there getting tips to improve my fitness and my overall training schedule.

Coach Gerry is considered by many elite athletes to be the authority on triathlon training and preparation, although he'll deny it.

Check it out.

Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels and looks.

I just finished Marathon Woman by Kathrine Switzer. It is the remarkable story of the struggle to get acceptance for women in running, written by the first woman to run with a bib number in the Boston Marathon. (A race official attempted to physically push her our of the race when he discovered her gender.)This was in 1967, not that long ago.
Women under the age of 55 may take for granted their running and racing opportunities, but that did not come about without the courage, dedication, and passion of Kathrine Switzer and a few others. We all owe her a debt of gratitude.

That book was suggested from another team that I posted the same thread on. How cool.

Runner's world had a list of suggested reading material, of which I think would be great gifts for readers and runners. The 4 they listed were:

1. Tread Lightly
2. The Little Read Book of Running
3. Superbodies
4. Cardio or Weights

My additions:

5. A kind of Grace
6. Run to Overcome

Feel free to share your comments especially if you read any of these or have other suggested reads!
