Doing 2 sets of 10 to 12 reps twice a week is suggested. The exercises themselves are different and quite interesting but you probably need to visit the website for further instructions if you don't know what these exercises are. Selene Yeager wrote this article for Bicycle Magazine and you can read the entire exercise explanations at www.bicycling.com.

1. Single-leg Lift Off
2. X Lunge
3. Hip Hinge
4. Speed Skater
5. Stuck Jumps

I tried these exercises after reading the article (all but the stuck jumps...knees no like!), and although I am averaging about 30 miles a day on the bike....my legs were screaming after the workout. Intense!
