I've just checked out the go tribal website and it looks great. I also noticed that there is mention of Chrissie Wellington. I'm very excited because our local triathlon club is seeing her tomorrow for the evening. It should be lots of fun! x

I had several plans printed off and the one we ultimately chose because my husband and I liked the schedule was from Tom Holland. I had purchased his book used from Amazon. We did a Sprint Tri, but because his book seemed geared to the least effort possible we chose the training plan for the Olympic, it had longer bike rides, running, etc., but not crazy over the top like some other plans we had seen. I felt like it prepared me just enough to do the Sprint, but I did have problems with the running when it came down to it, putting the 3 of them together really takes a toll on your legs and my my run I was doing about a 50% run/walk.

This year will be my first attempt at several new things including my first tri (Rambling Rose) and maybe a sprint distance tri. I am looking for training plans that I can incorperate into my plans for running a half and later a full marathon this year as well. The half is in spring and the full next Dec, the tri's will fall in the middle...obviously running is my strongest event, next to that is cycling...
Any suggestions for a training plan? What about weight training and core training?? I have the time to workout up to two hours a day during the week and can take as much time as I need for one day of the weekend as my family is totally supporting this...I just need to know what direction to go in and how to make this dream become a reality...
Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Tricia
