Lgoulder- Big congratulations! 100 miles and elevation change to boot! well done! I love that you have set the new goal of 250 pin!

Jackie- Hi there! Come on over to the 'deck' thread. folks from long ago and new folks...all encouraging positive folks. :)

Luna- Hi! I have a hiking history with my brothers too. A thousand acres to wander...wow...VERY cool. We tend to hang out a lot over on what we call the 'Deck'. Come on over...the folks are super friendly and supportive.

Aster- Hi there! What part of PCT have you seen? Oregon?

I have hiked a lot myself...the trails I have the most experience on, are in the High Sierra, here out west. I have hiked/backpacked the John Muir trail in its entirety and several sections...
Outdoors, gardens...and the kitchen...my favorite places. Books too. :)

Become the change you wish to see in the world.

Very cool. Of all the National Trails, I've probably done the most miles on the North Country Trail in Michigan's UP. And I've seen just a smidge of the PCT, but I've wanted to do some of the AT since I was in my 20's. I think I've hit just the tiniest bit of it in the Smokies a few years ago. Keep hiking. It's one of the best sports ever.

Wow! What an accomplishment! ...Now, I humbly ask, how does that work? I'd like to know, because it sounds like something totally AWESOME I'd like to shoot for, or actually something a little closer to my speed which is... never done anything like that in my life.

Hiking was something my brother and I did during the summers on a thousand acres, that was not ours, but hey when you're kids and there is a creek you tend to explore.

So if there is something neat like that over here on the east coast, I'd sure like to know about it. I'm totally in the dark and I joined this group to captures some 'Spark'. Pun intended. LOL

I just wanted to announce that I just accomplished one of my goals for this year. I got my Great Smoky Montains100 mile hiking pin! I climbed a lot of mountains and crossed a lot of bridges to get it! Now I'm going for the 250 mile pin.

We all get 24 hours a day. How we use them is up to us.
