Natural gas is probably the best way for the United States go to right now....we have more Natural gas deposits than the middle east has oil, so at least we wouldn't be at the whim of other countries. Wind is kinda inefficient, good to suppliment but impossible to meet our energy needs without some supllimental form. Solar is very expensive (although someone is working on a plastic panel that cost about $5 compared to the $200 current price) and also not quite their yet. Ethanol is the biggest waste of time and money we got going, we have starving people so lets take food and burn it for fuel, seriously does this make sense to anyone???

And to quit lying to all of us then and now. I watch these people on t.v. and they all lie or have been brainwashed. Yes if it was my choice there would never have been a nuclear facility. So there is no we in it. I was forced into having these on are planet.

who's "we"? can't recall ever building a nuclear power plant myself, or ever condoning one!
we need more responsible (that's a big word) politicians, scientists, researchers--people, to be exact. the indians were on to something, they conserved the land for tens of thousands of years, look where we got in about 300.

I don't know if there will ever be a safe and pretty energy solution. I agree the windmills are ugly, there are issues with nuclear energy, spillages of oil, digging for natural gas hurts the environment. Unfortunately, the world has put themselves in a position that require all of us to use energy. We did all this to ourselves and unfortunately there is no going back.

Never really have liked it. There arguments are its safe for the environment. My thoughts are things happen out of are control for one like Japan. It's clean energy. How come there always looking for a place to bury the waste deep under the ground? I just don't believe in it. Wind power is great except for the big, big windmills that look environmentally ugly. I love solar energy. Don't believe the energy company like the fact of us putting it on are house. I mean if we all had solar energy on are house wouldn't that put the energy company out of business. I know the solar energy has those solar panel fields in some places, but I can,t imagine they are pretty.
