Congrats! I just had my baby in August and will tell you I didn't do the best at staying fit throughout my pregnancy. HOWEVER, of the 40 pounds I gained, I'm down 30.

Just so you know, Sparkpeople has a sister website for expecting moms... babyfit.com CHECK IT OUT!

My name over there is sunshinebelly24 - friend me if you want.

Good luck with the baby!

Congratulations Lilly! I have no personal advice, being without children myself, but I think Aster had some great advice, and also just see what your doctor says. Good luck!

Congratulations! A spark friend of mine who just had a baby last month joined a spark team especially for spark members who are expecting babies. You might also want to have a look at Nina Planck's book, "Real Food for Mother and Baby". I don't know what your general food philosophies are, but I really like Nina Planck's ideas.

Hi everyone! i'm really looking for some advice on staying fit and healthy through pregnancy.I've just found out that i'm in the early stages of pregnancy and am feeling quite bloated and unhealthy at the moment, while i am soooo excited about being a mum i also want the best start for my baby and wondering how i can stay toned and fit throughout. I am happy to accept the fact that weight will be gained however i don't feel like i have to let myself go completley. Any tips on what exercise would be best and things like healthy lunches would be very much appreciated Louise x
