I went to my WW ďworkshopĒ in the studio today lol. So itís a total rebranding from the inside out. Itís all good. I started tracking on my phone very generically I might add to get the Win points. Iím still tracking the details on the paper tracker, but I wanted to win prizes. You can win a Rock n Roll race entry! So I got my settings all fixed up etc. you donít have to track everything perfectly to get points. You donít have to have a weight loss to get points either. They are really focusing onWellness Wins! I am so glad they are getting rid of all their lousy chemical laden food. Everyone seemed pretty positive about it. There are of course glitches. My weigh in did not update on my app and neither did my Win points for attending the meeting/workshop. I am sure it will shake out in the weeks ahead.

I figured out how to track on the APP quite painlessly to get the Win points. If anyone wants to know the tricks, let me know.

It will register if you track on the computer. I find that a little easier than the app.

I am still busy muddling my way through the WW app. I decided to give tracking with the app an honest effort for 3 weeks. Hereís hoping!

Not much planned for today. Did a little cleaning this morning and will try to get some exercise in this afternoon. It's cold here but not raining today, just cloudy.

Good morning.

I'm glad you are seeing progress at TOPS. Staying the same is fabulous when you are healing. Unless you are recovering from an auto accident or something, I don't think they recommend PT every day. That's quite an expensive ointment, I hope it works for you.

Not much going on today, I can use an easy weekend. Next week will be rough.

Joan I like you would try most anything once. Then if it doesn't work move on to something else. But if it works....it could just be worth every penny. lol.

Blanche I have to smile at your little trip. Sometimes us country folk have just plain common sense. Book smarts aren't always what they are cut out to be. Lol. That was an I told you so moment.

Have a wonderful day ladies, Joan for October it has been unusually muggy and warm here also. I hate to say this too loud but i'm a bit ready for some cool weather. Not cold, just maybe a bit less muggy.

Lordy, what a day I had yesterday. TOPS was great, I kept the loss I had when I weighed in at WW's, and I think I would have lost more if I had not had my PT on Thursday evening, and I am pretty sure I was holding onto fluid due to that hip area hurt like the Devil, and it felt swollen. So hindsight as they say is 20/20 so I'm thinking doing two days in a row of PT is not a good idea, I'm gong to have to work my schedule and put PT for Friday in the afternoon. Always something.

I did get the stuff worked out with the AT&T home phone service, its wireless. Oh and my new ointment I had to get OH MY GOODNESS I almost passed out when the girl at Walmart pharmacy told me my co-payment for this was $85,00, This is Tacrolimus Ointment 0.1%. I even considered not getting it, and I did have a chat with the pharmacist and the things he said did make sense, so I just bite the bullet and paid for it.

Not sure what I'm going to do today, I do have a load of laundry going. I was hoping it would be a lot cooler and less humid today so I could get my front door painted on the outside, but as long as its hot and humid it will go unpainted.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Love,
Joan

Wow I never track my food on the app. I tracked breakfast today and then was stumped when I ate 0 points chicken breast veg soup. If I have to track every ingredient I am already turned off. I would love to earn a little bag, but not at that frustrating price. Any hints or ideas ladies?

Yay Michelle for your Rx knowledge! I hope you get this all figured out Joan.

You had a really busy day yesterday Joan. Hope you can rest a little today. It is wet and gloomy here today. Just a steady mist. I broke a tooth this morning so had to go to the dentist to get that fixed. The most painful part is the bill but guess there's not much you can do about that. Hope everyone has a good day.

I have had eczema all my life. I used to have to use a cream called Mazon, a coal tar cream, that's all they had, and it didn't work. I had an angry rash all over all the time. When triamcinolone first came out it was a miracle. For the first time in my life I didn't have a rash somewhere on my body, or little blisters on my fingers. It clears the rash up quickly, I don't think I ever needed to use it for long at any one time.

Last week I found out that our idiot property manager had been fired and the old property manager put back on our account. I figured he had done one stupid thing too many, but it turns out he was stealing from his properties, including ours. He didn't get much from us, we watch it too closely, but he really screwed over his other 6 properties. The police are involved, he'll be prosecuted. Not the kind of excitement I enjoy.

Isn't it great to have somebody with pharmaceutical knowledge on this team! You added to my knowledge, Michelle!

Dark jeans and a pretty top sound like just the ticket for the wedding! I'll bet there will be other people there in jeans, if the bride told other people what she told you!

Glad your health problems are getting straightened away, Joan. When things are not going well with your body, it affects your whole outlook.

We had a great bus trip yesterday. The bus got stuck (dragged and got hung up) going up an incline.into a driveway, and that was the excitement of the trip. A farmer with a tractor came along and solved the problem. I knew he could. I have a lot of faith in the common sense of farmers! The lady standing next to me was jumping up and down and saying "He'll never be able to do it! My son is a farmer and he wouldn't touch that!" I said "my farmer husband would have figured out how to do that" The lady naysayer made herself scarce after the bus was back on the road!

Joan if your "T" cream is triamcinolone it is meant for short term use. 7 days on and 7 days off. For that reason of the skin thinning.

Have a enjoyable meeting Joan. Then come home and just put your feet up. Let this be your day.

Have a great day ladies.

Happy Friday everyone.

Went to the Dermatologist yesterday and she has decided that its not a vein problem but eczema, but since I broke out again she thinks one of those patch allergy test is needed. They are checking with my insurance to see if they will cover it. She also told me not to use the steroid cream Dr. Green gave me, the one that starts with a "T" that stuff is GREAT!!!! But, according to the Dermatologist it can break the skin down so she has prescribed something else and I got a text from my Walmart last night that its ready for pick up that stuff is $90 buck and that is my co-payment. I asked her for samples and get this, all the samples they had were out of date. Hum, not sure about that. Then went to the AT&T store to finish up my plan to go with Direct TV, then after I got back to B.D. had to go to Ruthann's to let the dogs out, ''who let the dog's out??" Joan did, lol lol lol. Then at 3 I had PT, so by the time I got home again I was worn completely out.

Today is TOPS and I'm pleased to say I did get the lesson all ready for today. I had my copy ready I just wanted to make copies for the rest of the group. Hope everyone has a great Friday, let's all be SuccessFul today.

I agree that you can wear anything you like to the wedding. I've seen many people wear jeans, especially at an outdoor affair.

We had nearly 80 degrees yesterday. I mowed the lawn as it is looking like rain In the forecast all week off and on. Today it is 49. What a difference a day makes.

Joan your dark jeans and special top sound perfect. Like Nell and Michelke, I dress up with my jeans and special tops, sweaters and jewelry. Times have changed. Really anything goes! I wore the uncomfortable shoes for the wedding. They were tolerable with my inserts. I then switched to my patent leather Dansko shoes for the reception. Comfortable and better looking than sneakers. I am done with heals. We just donít agree anymore.

As for TOPS, you can turn the tables. Let each attendee bring up one subject that is bothersome, or difficult. You can then ask, list and provide three options to help each other out of the difficulty. This will include everyone and empower everyone as they put what they have learned to good use. All you do is moderate and maybe write down the problems and helpful ideas! Give them homework to report back how each otherís advice was helpful the following week......DONE!

I had a great work out this AM. My son is dong much better. All the wrappings come off today, then a shower tomorrow. I bet he is looking forward to this and to going back to his house this weekend!

Thanks Nell & Michelle, I needed to hear that this morning that I won't be the center of attention, and I think I forgot about that. I do have dark jeans that will look great with my top I have, as far as footwear it will be my old stand by SAS shoes, they are wide enough and roomy. Thanks ladies. emoticon

I agree with Nell. You can dress up or dress down jeans any way you want. No need to buy something your not going to wear again, and it is out doors.

I would like to say it is finally cooling off here but I would be lying. October and it is still hot and muggy here in the south.

Good luck today Joan with all you have going, but be careful. Don't rush.

You can wing it at TOPS tomorrow, you have a million topics by now. In AA meetings, it's really the same topics over and over with the twist of an experience thrown in. I know I needed to hear the same thing many times before I actually heard it.

I wear blue jeans and dress it up with a really nice top and jewelry. You're limited in your footwear now, so heels are out. You aren't the bride or the mother of the groom, so it doesn't really matter. Your best apparel is a big happy smile!

This whole week I've been meeting myself coming and going. I don't have my program ready for TOPS tomorrow and guess what today is the Dermatologist appointment, then after I get out of there I have an appointment at the AT&T store, and I have to make sure I'm back in Beaver Dam before 3 p.m. because I have my PT session this afternoon. PT is going great, and I think the dry needling is doing something right. I don't want to crow too loudly due to we all know how quickly things can change with me. emoticon

Okay Nephew Coty's wedding is the 27th of October, remember this is an outdoor affair, and to begin with Coty' s Nanna, my sister Ruthann told us (June & I) that Natalye, (bride to be) said we could wear blue jeans if we wanted to, just be comfortable. So last night Ruthann sends me a picture of Coty's Mom's dress, guess what it ain't blue jeans, its quite nice. Still I never thought a lot about this, until Sister Ruthann informs me, ''I'm going to wear the dress June loaned to me wear this Friday evening to Jacob's wedding." Jacob is Terry's Nephew. June & I both thought all three of us girls were going to wear blue jeans. I don't want to show up being over dressed and I'm not going out to buy a dress I can't afford it, and I don't wear dresses anyway. I don't like being told different stories. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

It was warm enough here today that I managed to get out and get some of my flowers cleaned up. I left the pots of impatiens because they look really good yet. It supposed to storm tonight so hope it doesn't get too bad.

I got the newsletter about the new WW. Meeting places are studios, and to be honest it looks pretty up lifting. The rewards are sent to your home as you earn them from tracking. Seems pretty straight forward.

Joan the loss is awesome. You got this. Sorry about your foot. Maybe it is nothing serious.

What? Snow? Say it isn't so! Guess I'll just enjoy the mild weather while I can!

If good thoughts could cure your wound, Joan, it would be cured! So glad the weight is beginning to come off. That is a big boost mentally, I'm sure.

Off on a bus trip tomorrow to Letchworth State Park, which is a beautiful gorge in western New York. The trees may be turning just a bit, and am looking forward to it. Daughter, Trish, is going with me.

Good morning,

That water weight is coming off, Joan! Obscured in that loss is the REAL loss from your sticking to your Plan. If the wound doc is sending you to the dermatologist, at least you know the problem is not a bacterial infection, which is a good thing.

It's going to be hot here for the rest of the week. We finally got the hot water restored to the half of the condo that was without it for 2 days, hopefully today they'll be able to restore the ac. They'll need it. Hard to believe it's snowing out west.

Have a great day all!

Okay first off, I lost half of the steroid weight at my weigh in yesterday so I was happy about that. I then stopped in at the wound care place to see if they could possibly see me, couldn't believe Dr. Green had a cancellation for 11:15 so I said yes. I had time to kill so I got some errands ran, got back and I still waited an hour before being called back. Then I had to wait almost another hour for Dr. Green to come in. Bottom line is Dr. Green said, ''call, get in to see the Dermatologist ASAP, and I (Dr. Green) think the Dermatologist should do a biopsy on that area." So I called, and I go see the Dermatologist tomorrow morning. I'm having to use the steroid cream again, twice a day and for two weeks plus wrapping. All that is unless the Dermatologist say's something different. Today I have PT at 8 a.m. so a busy week still going on here.
The weather is more like August it very hot and humid here and suppose to be this way into next week. Very strange weather for sure, but it could always be worse, in fact EVERYTHING could be worse.

Have a great day and let's remember to count our blessings. emoticon

I'm so sorry, Joan. If the blisters appeared at night you can't blame it on footwear.

Good luck at WW. Remember your steroids will take awhile to stop affecting water retention. And other things: my husband had a steroid shot in his shoulder last year that caused his blood sugar to skyrocket. It took about a month and half to get it back down to normal.

Michelle, your right its not about a number on the scale it about changing our lifestyle, and for some of us and I head that list that is really hard to do. At times those old habits want to walk right back in the door.

Okay had my first real PT yesterday it all went really well, and I got another dry needling done, and this morning that seems to have helped even more. I have some exercises to do before I head out this morning, and then I'll do PT again on Wednesday & Thursday of this week.

Now here is the other breaking news, ''breaking" being the word of the day. The place on my foot that I was so thrilled that had healed for whatever reason that place broke out during the night in blisters and those blisters burst and stuff was all over my sheets, so after my shower this morning I put a thin layer of the steroid cream on it and then waited 10 minute's then put that what I call diaper rash cream on there then I wrapped it up. I'm going to stop in at the wound care place after my WW meeting to see if they can see me today. Drives me crazy.

Happy October. Being at goal and staying there isn't about a number. It is about a change of lifestyle. It took that to get there and it will take that to stay there. Hence lifestyle. I for one would love to get to the lifestyle I've become accustomed to.

New month same goals, new outlook.

Hey ladies it is a super dreary day here. Looking like rain all week too. I have off tomorrow. My oldest who is 26 Is going in for shoulder day surgery. A torn labrum. We insisted he stay over nite night here in case he had any problems. So we will be in nurse mode for him. He is a Cross Fit instructor on the side and pretty built. He has been dealing with this issue the better part of the year. He is really hoping for a great recovery so he can keep up with his work outs. We are always cheering in each otherís corner. My hubby and younger son prefer the couch to the gym lol. Prayers for him please!

So I figured very conservatively that I earned 20 fitness points during my race....crazy I tell ya. 2 hours and 13 minutes of a heart rate at 140-160. I work out and train for endurance. It burns the most calories. So the problems arise when I still want to eat like I burned all those calories the next day and the day after that. You get the idea. I burn between 1200 and 1400 calories in that 2 hours race period. I really have to put the brakes on hard.

Joan I am so glad you crossed everything off your list. I am a huge list maker. It is so satisfying to cross things off. Good for you! You managed to work around your discomfort and still make great progress. That is the name of the game!!!

It's not about what you can't do. It's all about what you can do. Never ever give up!

It's raining here today. Am trying to get a few things done in the house. Wednesday is supposed to be warm so if it's not raining will try to get some outside work done. Time to get some of the flower pots put away.

Jane T, I am surprised to find you are in your 50's. I would have guessed late 30's or early '40s from your posts. Anyway, I got tired just reading what you wrote about your latest competition. I wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes!

Joan...your "stick-to-itness" is amazing. What a good attitude! So glad the dry needling is seeming to help.

I am trying to eliminate foods that might be causing my intestinal problems. So far I have not found anything that helps.

Dreary day here today, but at least the temperature is bearable!

Doesn't it feel great to get that list done!! I hope your PT begins to help you. Remember to have patience with that, too, it isn't just what they help you do while you're there, they give you exercises you have to do at home. Physical therapists are a lot better trained than they used to be, they can really help you if you do the work. Where have we heard that before?

This is the month when the leaves begin to turn in earnest. I am so glad we now pay someone to clear them off.

Jane T. AMEN!!!!!! To everything you said about our journey. As I told someone just the other day when they told me their ''why" for joining WW's, I had to tell her, ''if you had a bad marriage from day one, then I'm not sure you losing weight is going to change anything. Do this for you and no one else." No matter when we get to goal, there's always going to be something out there, it is as you said, ''LIFE!!" So glad the wedding went so well, and when I read about the swimming, biking and running, my thought was, ''I would have died three steps from the starting line. YOU ROCKED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay good news is I got EVERYTHING done yesterday that I set out to do. It took me just about all day long, but that was due to when I began to hurt really bad I'd take a time out and sit for awhile. But, I finished it all up, the living room is back where its suppose to be, and every hardwood floor in my house has been mopped.
Today I have my first PT session and I do think the dry needling has helped so we shall see.

Here's to a new month and a new day. Make it count. emoticon

Happy October. Being at goal and staying there isn't about a number. It is about a change of lifestyle. It took that to get there and it will take that to stay there. Hence lifestyle. I for one would love to get to the lifestyle I've become accustomed to.

New month same goals, new outlook.

Lifetime is just as much work now as it was 11 years ago. It just never lets up. My food addiction is always a challenge. I refuse to let it win. Sometimes it gets the best of me and age and health issues have contributed to the difficulty. But this is life. We all have those same problems. Each is different but the emotional roller coaster is the same. So we buckle in and settle down for the ride. The other option is to hurl ourselves into a load of trouble making it even harder to to get back on the right track. We can encourage one another. It beats the alternative!

The wedding went well. I ate too much, but enjoyed myself. It was nice to have the family all together! It was a lot of work on my part, and now it is all over. Amen to that! This morning I got up early for my last triathlon race of the season. I got back a couple hours ago and it went so well! It took me 2 hours and 13 minutes to swim 1/3 of a mile, bike 15 miles and run 3 and 1/4 miles. Now understand that I am very slow compared to most in this race. I am 57 and am in the 55-59 age bracket. For awhile I thought I took 3 rd place in my age division, but alas some other lady bumped me out with a better time. No worries here. I am so stinking glad to cross the finish line lol. As I transitioned from each event to the next I had to swap out my shoe inserts and fuss with my socks a bit too much. That caused me about 5 extra minutes. Oh the troubles with old age. We embrace the ability we have and work around what is failing. It is the circle of our life......

It's not about what you can't do. It's all about what you can do. Never ever give up!

I think this will always be somewhat of a struggle but recognizing that is half the battle. Those that think they can get to goal and then return to their old way of eating are in for a bit of a fall.

Good morning, and yes I sure do have my problems. I have some pretty rigid rules (no eating between meals) and I follow them, but sometimes I have to drink a couple of cups of coffee to get me through. I still have to hustle past the pastry case at the grocery store. I have plenty of stress in my life, all about stuff that I have no control over. I DO have control over what I eat, when I stick to my Plan, that's one stress I can avoid. The stress of not eating an eclair is less than the stress that would be caused by eating it.

Soon your physical problems will ease, Joan, and you will be dancing in the street that you stayed On Plan!

"This journey is not for the faint of hear, nor is it an Instant Pot"

Good morning Nell, Blanche, Michelle, Jane, Beth, Jane T, Gail and anyone else that might roam around and find us. The last day of September, tomorrow a brand new month. Whatever the month of September brought each of us, whether it was good stuff or stuff we could have just lived without, its over the month is just about gone. Let's make this a time or day to think about how and what we are going to do to make October a much better month.

Today's quote I made it up on my own, because let's face it Nell has been at goal for 40 plus years, Blanche has been at goal at least 15 maybe even more, Jane T. is at goal don't know how many years, but Jane T. is great about sharing how she struggles being a "Lifer." Blanche struggles the most when the kids show up. Nell has this down, but guess what I just bet there are days she has struggles because maybe what she had planned for a meal had to be changed at the last minute. These three ladies are ''seasoned'' lifetime members, but just because they are does not mean each of them do not struggle, that is where this not being for the faint of heart comes in. Over the last month I have found this out the hard way, not feeling good, medication that has me swimming in fluid, pain so bad that I want to just drive to the Dairy Queen and set and tell them , ''keep the Blizzards coming until I'm numb." Guess what I'd get numb, but after it was all over with I'd still have my struggles and still have my pain, just like anyone else. We are not an Instant Pot where its all going to be over and done with in 20-30 minutes, its a daily battle, it a minute by minute battle. You all have no idea how badly I've wanted to just throw in the towels, with the steroid weight gain I've had, and then to be told ''this could last a couple of months before its all gone." Now that is just wrong!!!!

I have/had a choice and a year ago I would have went with the one where I throw in the towel, go to Walmart, stock up on all the Halloween candy even though I do not have Trick or Treater's , and lets not forget all the pints of Ben & Jerry's I would have had to purchase as well. No I didn't go that route , this time, I decided it doesn't matter how long it takes this time I'm in for the long haul. I know all too well, as many of you know how defeating it is to lose one week and still continue to do everything right and gain the next...It's not fair, life is not fair, but giving up is not an option. We HAVE to keep hanging in there as my Daddy would have said, ''hang in there like a hair in a biscuit," I know not very appetizing but we have to hang in there, we are so worth the hard work, and its a lifetime, lifestyle change, and WE CAN DO THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
