It's hard to stay motivated all of the time but planning helps to keep us on track.

so far so good, I am staying on target. I think of all the food on the ship and it keeps me on target in my own house.

motivation only gets you so far, thats when you have to rely on discipline. (which was lacking for me last night)

Soldiers go through basic training not as an entry tradition, but to create the instincts that will save their lives. Most people, when they hear a loud boom, will instinctively stand tall and look around to find its source. That's a good way to get killed. Soldiers are trained to fall to the ground. they don't think about it, they just do it. When my motivation gets low, I rely on my training, look at my Plan for the day, and get to the next meal safely. I don't have to get through the day or the week, just to the next meal.

I still have these spells even though I've maintained 12 years. The solution is to get back OP. Sometimes it takes 3 weekw to get the weight off that I gained in 3 days. I wouldn't make a very good AA member!

Ever have one of those times of complete and utter lack of motivation? Most of us have experienced that once or twice.

Those times where even thinking about weight loss makes your knees go weak and your head start spinning? Most of us have had that to happen as well.

One of those times where it all seems completely overwhelming? Yep, been there done that and have the t-shirt to prove it.

Don't worry, we've all been there.

Thousands of people have been there, and guess what? They've made it to goal.

Everyone will experience those moments (often times, more than once).

You know what you do in those times?

You dive in even further. You dig a little deeper, you find that strength you need.

You get in the meeting room. Or you can come here and vent. You plan your meals. You prep food for the week. You reach out for support when you need it. If you journal, then you journal. Call a friend, go for a walk, call the Priest....JUST DO SOMETHING!!!

Because the things that are really worth striving for in life are never easy things to attain, but they are the most rewarding things imaginable.

So knuckle down and get there. emoticon Stay Strong.

emoticon to all,
Joan
