The week is starting off slow. My husband had rotator cuff surgery today so I spent all day at the hospital and didn't get in a lot of steps. It's outpatient surgery so he's home. Hopefully tomorrow will get back to a more normal exercise and eating plan.

good morning everyone. This morning I was a busy bee even though I really didn't feel like it. I went grocery shopping (after breakfast) for dinner, Tamale pie, This will be for two dinners. Cancelled my cleaning person this month so I cleaned my condo. Tuckered out. Over 4,000 steps whew. Playing mahj jongg this afternoon. and then a relaxing rest of the day.

I'm heading in the right direction. prepped a bunch of stuff yesterday. made healthy chicken salad, fresh salsa, sliced up all the veggies for stir fry I am making tonight, and soaked oatmeal overnight. that should give me food options for most of the week. and I have something quick and easy I can take with me today, since will be out of the house most of the day at appointments.

need to up the exercise though, especially the hiking since planning a road trip to Bryce canyon in May and have a 5K in 3 weeks.

oh and the scale happens to be going in the right direction too for a change. Lately it hasn't mattered what I did right, the scale wasn't moving. down about 1.5 from weigh in two weeks ago, but that means that official gain of last week is gone too (had a cold that week). Not as fast as I would like it to go, but its a loss. And I am about 25 pounds lighter than I was last year at this time.

I'm making all the right turns. Even getting ready for a 5k in April. Lots of work to be done there. Did get a walk in yesterday. Had a awesome weekend with friends, stepped out of the box and had a good time, but still stayed in my motivation.

I have my list of tasks ready to go, and my Food Plan for the day all sketched out. I'm ready for Today! My new Fitbit band arrived yesterday (Amazon Prime delivers on Sundays!!) so I am back in the step counting business!

It's going to be a great day!

"Today know that there is no limit to what you can do, if you give it your all."

No matter how many wrong turns we make, in the very next move we can make a right turn and get right back on track. Here' s hoping everyone had a great weekend and is now prepared for the week ahead.

There are no limits to what we can do for ourselves.
