Laura, Me, too! We usually just brainstorm a few dinner ideas on the weekend and then pick and choose during the week. Sometimes, I come up with something entirely different which is OK. We are still working on last week's dinner ideas. emoticon

Breakfasts are always the same, so, that's always planned. Dinners are planned on sunday for the week (have to make sure I have food planned for my kids). Lunch, however, depends on what's going on during the day.

We cooked many different items this weekend so it is just a matter of mixing and matching the proteins, fruits and vegetables for the next few days. There is leftover beef tagine with butternut squash (a favorite Cooking Light recipe), pork chops, roasted turkey breast, squash recipe (zucchini, onions and tomatoes), okra and tomatoes, whole wheat angel hair pasta, polenta, strawberries, fresh pineapple, cooked broccoli, cooked cauliflower. Probably a few other things I forgot about but definitely enough to make my lunches and dinners for a couple of days!

Yes, today's menu is planned in my head; not tracked yet, though. I usually check with my hubbie in the mornings with ideas for dinner. Sometimes, we sit down on the weekends and plan several dinners and then just choose each day from those ideas. We do our own thing for breakfast and lunch. emoticon

I am new to this team so I am sorry if I am a little lost on the conversations. I do not plan meals, but I have been wanting to for a long time. I do pack a lunch before I leave the house everyday and healthy snacks to get me through the day. I have a huge problem with dinner and weekends most of the time. I am still working on this and hope to get better at this soon.

Yes, I have planned out my breakfast, lunch for today.

Not sure about dinner yet, going golfing in the afternoon, will see how late it is when we get home.

It does work best for me if I have a planned out day.

i planned my weeks dinner on Saturday -- however, i won't do my plan tonight. i was going to use a crockpot, but when i went to the grocery store (being the genius that i am) i forgot my list. When i went to get everything ready last night i realized i didn't get half the ingredients that i needed!

i will let my husband figure out what HE will make for dinner -- all i know is that he has to cook the Pork Roast that needs to be cooked today.

I go to Wegman's on Mondays and Fridays, so I plan 4 days on Sunday and 3 days on Thursday. I make my lists, know what to take out of the freezer, what to start cooking earlier (beans go in to soak the night before), and I never have to look around my kitchen, starving, wondering what to make. I also find I am more adventurous as a cook if I take a leisurely trip through my cookbooks before the pressure to produce a meal, and be sure that everything I need is in the house, and that I have the timing right.
