Self rising flour already has a leavener in it, so if you are using a self rising flour in a recipe that calls for AP the leavening agent is not needed. So you are suppose to omit the salt and baking powder

What are the differences? I'm trying a new recipe that calls for self rising flour. What would happen if I used all purpose instead?
