If you are adding chips, nuts or dried fruits, don't change the rest of your ingredients, but do make sure that the recipe you are using is for drop cookies, not roll- out cookies. You could use a chocolate chip cookie recipe and just substitute fruit or nuts for the chips.

Oats I think will absorb some of the liquids, so you may need to reduce the flour a bit, sorry I can't give you exact proportions.

Peanut butter (or any nut butter, I really like almond butter cookies) will substitute your butter for equal parts. So if you have a recipe that calls for 1 cup butter, you could use 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup nut butter, or whatever amounts you are experimenting with.

Banana is the same as with nut butters, but will substitute the eggs. Keep in mind that it doesn't have much fat, so it may really affect the texture of your cookies (not in a good way!). There are a lot of vegan recipes that use fruit purees, you could try one of those, but use butter instead of the non-dairy shortening they usually suggest.

How do you fix a flat cookie? My cookies are moist but flat and sticky (too much sugar?)? Can it be fixed?

I add a 1/4 cup crushed nuts per 1 cup of flour to my dough. Do I need to increase fat too? sugar? eggs? baking powder? If so, by how much?

If you have a basic cookie dough recipe (sugar, flour, eggs, butter, baking powder), how much do you increase the basic ingredients when adding, chips, nuts, raisins, peanut butter, banana, oatmeal, if you increase it at all?

I want to be a cookie maven and need help!
