I need one of you at my house right now. You are making some great progress! Did you make it to the cabin today?

I slept until 10 this morning so it appears I made a good decision to stay home from church. I watched worship online and it was nice to have that option. Thankfully I am feeling better this evening and not living on cold pills and sleep. Glad I could take a couple days to just ride it out. Thankfully tomorrow I don't have any extra things planned so should be able to start working on clean-up of the "sick zone" which means the whole house that is now a bit trashed from way too busy lives this weekend. LOL

scrubbed 4 different area rugs yesterday in the house and then headed to camp and tried not to panic. Hubby has so much stuff there still. I got one bedroom wiped down, the bathroom, and the pantry, took down all of the curtains and wiped down all of the cobwebs. Wiped down the fans. Walked in there with 2 totes and 2 baskets of laundry and walked back out with 3 baskets of laundry. Came home and showered and went to the baby shower. After I got back home I just worked on laundry all night. It s suppose to beautiful again today so I will finish the laundry and work on the yards and porches. Rain is suppose to move in tonight and tomorrow so I will head back to the cabin after work and try to get the back bedroom and living room cleaned. I think hubby is going to spend a week there taking care of the neighbors horses and then we will be into the renting season.

Janet - sounds like Isaac and Maegan both had good days. Glad she is not panicking. So happy for Isaac - that is a dream.

I hope you are feeling better today.

I woke up as miserable as I thought I would so my day has been spent on the sofa sleeping, reading, sleeping.... Just thankful I can though so maybe I can kick this bug to the curb.

Tim went to Isaac's first game today and they didn't win, but that played well and were on the way to coming back. Isaac got his dream shot too. A 3-pointer as the buzzer goes off and it went in with a "swish!" He said he got another 3 in the second game too.

Maegann sent photos of perm rod practice again and this time she was doing well. They practiced on their doll head first and then they practiced on each other. First Saturday since she started that we haven't had an afternoon panic attack and only one hour to go!

Khol - I am so happy that your daughter reaches out when her anxiety is high. Sounds like busy time at the house,. Hope you got your nap in.

Janet - a year already - wow!

Taking a couple of hours off today - want to get everything set up to start painting bedrooms across the street and get all of the cabin stuff organized so I can get ready to go up and start cleaning.

Dorothy~Will be interesting to see what the doctor says about his lack of energy.

Kohl~That is a lot of coordinating of schedules tomorrow! I am sorry you had to bring D20 home due to anxiety, but I so get it. Maegann told me this morning today was one year since she checked into the behavioral hospital. Wow...doesn't seem that long ago.

My day was good. A couple of errands and then home for the day. Didn't get nearly as much done as I hoped, but nothing that had to be done at the same time so it's okay. Tomorrow...no errands...just home.

Dorothy — Every bit does help! I think I will do a little bit of raking myself at lunchtime if the grey clouds don't pour first.

Janet — Glad you are at a point in life where you can go to Bible study more easily and glad you pushed yourself to do it this time and enjoyed the time spent.

Brought D20 home last night because she was having anxiety. It seemed to melt away once home and she was able to draw a portrait of D12 for homework before bed. Drove her back this morning early in order to get the car back in time for D22 to go to work. All the more crazy to figure schedules out now that my husband had a temp job. I planned on going to the homeschool skate tomorrow but with having to take D20 to counseling in the morning and picking D22 up from work at lunchtime it isn't feasible. I am thankful that a good friend has agreed to take D14 since rollerskating is one thing she doesn't want to miss.

Feel like I have a cold coming on. Even though I feel like going back to bed I know I need to motivate the girls to start their homeschooling day and do the subjects that require my assistance before napping. I do here the pillow calling my name!

Janet - that is so weird - I slept so good last night until early morning and then all of a sudden I was wide awake. I will be tired tonight!

Glad you enjoyed your bible study.

I got more of the gardens cleaned yesterday - now to get over into the other yard and start.

Mike made it to the cabin yesterday and now I can get up there and get it cleaned. I could have had it booked this week but he just does not have any energy. Although he did admit the only reason his legs hurt is because he does not use them. I am going to Erie with him today to his Dr. appointment - we will see what she has to say.

Dorothy~Yes, every little bit of cleaning in the gardens/yards helps!

Bible study was very good this morning and I had to talk myself into going because I was sleeping soundly after a night that only saw around 4 hours of rest. Just couldn't get to sleep. Was glad I did.

The rest of the day was spent on groceries and paid work.

Janet - that i so thoughtful for the company to do that. What a wonderful idea!

Glad you were able to enjoy your massage and get the plan draft done. Enjoy your time with the ladies today.

Well - even though it was barely 50 yesterday I worked outside in one of my flower beds and the side of the house is done and looks so nice! Yesterday at lunch time I came home and did a bit of raking - every bit helps.

Dorothy~Sorry about the back pain, but very thankful it is feeling better today.

I had a good day. Massage, finished the plan draft I've been working on for several days and just took it easy. Looking forward to ladies study in the morning and then home for a few alone hours before both kids are home for the day. I do need to prepare a freezer dish for Tim to take with him on Thursday as the company is providing meals for an employees family while he is out for surgery.

Dorothy~Sounds like you are making progress.

So nice having about 7 hours to myself today. Mostly spent time on paid work as planned. I did "party" about 1:30 by going out for some ice cream at Dairy Queen. I needed a brain break!
Now it is going on 5pm so I'm Sparking before we need to head out for church. It is Community Night and after the dinner we will be having a speaker talking about Faith and the World of Entertainment. Sure hope Maegann can get off a little earlier tonight so she doesn't miss too much of the topic.

Tomorrow morning....90 minute massage and then back home for more paid work.

And party I bet you will do Janet - lol!

Yesterday I started working - finally on Michael's old room across the street. I took everything down off of the walls, wiped down all of the wood work, packed up the remaining things of his, emptied out his closed and scrubbed his rugs, It is ready to paint. Needless to say I was exhausted when I got done. I guess climbing up and down from a ladder and up and down stairs wears me out - lol.

It will be nice to rest at work today. emoticon

Dorothy~That sounds like a very nice outing other than the parking mess.

I had a good day. After church we figured out there were enough leftovers I would not need to fix a meal so I got busy on the first of the month bills and reconciled a couple of accounts. Then I updated the scholarship spreadsheet. Those two items took until early evening so I headed to the sofa with my laptop and watched a couple of episodes of The Office while Sparking.

Spring Break is done here and Isaac is grumpy. Me...PARTY!

Janet - yes it was under cover - at the arena. The garden show was fun and busy but not overwhelmingly so. It took me half an hour to find a parking spot because I do not know the area good enough. I kept going around the blocks while my friend would find all of the spots on the other side of the street. emoticon Needless to say I was getting frustrated. We parked about 2 blocks away and I was worried as she has a hard time walking. It was fine getting there as it was mostly down hill or flat but I had to pick her up when we left and I had to make a trip out to the van because she bought so much stuff. She loves to buy. This is the friend I do the yard work for and she gets cabin fever plus she does not have a lot of friends in the area. WE went to lunch and then went to a produce market and then to Aldis - by the time I got her home and unloaded I was pooped.

Today I am headed across the street to pack up what is remaining in Michael's room and to shampoo the rugs.

Glad you were able to get some of your work done. I was able to get my moms taxes done but I need to go get a picture of her drivers license as every year I have to call her for all of that information as you need it now it you electronically file/

Dorothy~So your garden show was under cover? Many of ours are not so I assumed the rain would not be helpful.

Kohl~Hope things are still going in a positive direction today.

Yes, Isaac has been on spring break. Goes back on Monday. emoticon I was able to get a good start on the one plan that has to be written from scratch (new client) today as Tim took Isaac with him on errands this afternoon. I needed that so much! I should have time to work more tomorrow afternoon as Isaac is going over to Nate's and Tim will be working in the addition. Maegann will be at work until 2:30 or so. As Monday will be home alone until 3 p.m. I should be able to get quite a bit done.

Maegann has invited Tayler over for games tonight -- not sure if he is coming -- but if does, that will be fun.

Kohl~That is such great news about your dad. So glad you were able to give your mom time to rest.

Isaac didn't go with his friend after all, but I made some "just me" time this morning aka errands. It helped though. Tomorrow morning he will be with Patrick, Maegann will be at school and Tim will probably be working on the house. I have some cleaning to do and really need to get busy on the plan drafts that never saw the light of day all week and are due next week. Yikes!

Janet — Quiet day! emoticon

Dorothy — Pampering! emoticon

My dad is okay! His high blood pressure medicine made him lightheaded with shortness of breath. They monitored him overnight to adjust medicines and he did okay with a new medicine so he went home today at noon. I took the older two girls with me to visit him in the hospital for the evening because my mom really needed to get some sleep.

Watched some Father Brown episodes with my husband in the wee hours when I got back home and now I am paying the price for staying up so late. I have to pick D20 up for the weekend at 3pm and then I will head to bed!

Update on my dad...

The doctor told mom that dad had a widow-maker blockage and required a long stent to open it up which they did. They kept him overnight.and he went home this morning. They are now back in the emergency room at Samaritan as dad was having shortness of breath so they were told to go to the ER. I'm heading there now.

Hi Kohl & Dorothy!

I had a quiet day, but am feeling the need for some "just me" time. Isaac loves his 1:1 time with me, but 24/7 of it becomes "velcro boy" and due to his lack of personal space awareness it is close velcro! LOL

Khol - I do find it amazing when men are not as understanding when it comes to there daughters - especially in today's day and age but it still seems to be the way - I think they would rather hide there heads in the sand. At least yours is good with the expenses.

What surprises me even more is how at work the "boys" club seems to have taken over. The older guys I use to work with are all retired and it seems to be quite the boys club going on now. I had thought this was a thing of the past but apparently not.

You are blesses to have a caring son. My son is very caring as well - I think it is why his father does not understand him.

Yea on scoring good finds at the thrift shop.

Janet - I hope it does not happen to her again - scary to be grabbed by someone.

That was a nice feature where it accessed your taxes - did not use to be a option.

It was sunny but chilly here yesterday - today but should be warmer so I think I will work in the back yards a bit after work.

Lost my first paragraph somehow on the last post. Must have deleted it by accident before posting the message. Here's what got lost in a nutshell...My husband took over the finances when we started having money issues with the loss of his job nearly ten years ago. That included doing the FAFSA every year. So I've been blessed with nine years of not having to be frustrated with applying for financial aid! I guess a giant thank you is in order for my husband. Better late than never.

Went thrifting after theatre this evening. Came home with a pair of jeans, a skort, and two pairs of shorts for me. I also found a pair of shorts for one of my three youngest. D14 wants to try them first and if they don't fit her they will go up the ladder to D20 if they are too big and down a rung if they are too small.

Dorothy~I got some of the garden areas (very few right now) cleaned out about a week ago. Now I need to figure out what to do with some of it. Once I finally received access to the tax transfer thing it went much easier on the documents. I got the "Entrance Counseling" finished today so everything is finished. Glad I started when I did as it's all due Thursday.

Kohl~That's how I approached homeschool as well. Lots of everything! It takes time, but it's worth it. I'm glad this procedure for your dad will be done tomorrow and I know you'll make the right decision on going or not.

I ran a few errands first thing and then it was time to catch up on paid work and finish up the financial aid documentation for Maegann. Now I'm doing some Sparking before shifting to make supper.

Maegann was asked to write an incident report yesterday and thankfully this type of thing doesn't happen often. Didn't find any bruising so far.

We do a bit of this and that for each of our homeschooling subjects so that information is not coming from only one source in any given subject...eclectic. I also do interest based and individualized learning based on ability. Finding it a problem this year though since I'm using a lot of new material with D12. Instead of using all of the tests for the lessons I'd developed for the older ones I'm making new ones and finding it extremely tedious. She needs this though and so I persevere.

My dad will have the cardiac catheterization done tomorrow. I planned to go with my parents and sit with my mom at the hospital but her pastor and his wife will be there so I'm less inclined to now but I still haven't made the final decision on what to do.

My son called last night and had some insight on D20's issues from having talked with her last week. He gives me hope in that his views on how to pull together and help her are more in line with my views than my husband. Finding lots of support in him just not from my husband yet. He is a wonderful brother with the compassion she needs to see from a male figure.

Janet - I just updated Michael's fasa paperwork a couple of weeks ago. I never enjoy doing that. But glad it is done. Good luck!

That is awful that one of the residents grabs at her but I am sure they do not realize what they are even doing. Must be so frustrating to get old and have to rely on others.

Worked in the yard a bit last night - had to get more steps in so I raked and cleaned out some of the gardens. And then I got overwhelmed has Mike has piles of stuff everywhere. How can one person have so many piles of stuff??

Dorothy~Mrs. Banks would be a fun character to play!

I was working on FAFSA / student loan documentation online most of my day. I still have one more segment to finish tomorrow. Wouldn't have taken so long, but Tim had not written down login details from January so I had to find all of that and change passwords, etc.

Tomorrow I have some errands so will get those done in the morning so I have the afternoon to finish the FAFSA and take care of a few paid work items that I ignored today.

Maegann's week is going better so far other than one of the residents getting upset and grabbing her arm so hard she left nail indents. Glad she didn't break skin and hopefully it won't bruise.

Khol = sounds like life has been a bit stressful, Hopefully they can find a good plan for your dad.and it is wonderful that your daughter is willing to seek out help - that is half of the battle.

Janet - yea for the insulating being done, Tim is wise to tell you to stay out of the way because I am sure it was very true that you would have been helping and Isaac would have been watching.

I hope Maegan has a better week.

The show was very good - my grand daughter was Mrs Banks and she had a few solos - so very proud of her.

Dorothy~I'm sure Mary Poppins will be great fun.

Kohl~Sorry to hear about your dad, but so glad he got things checked out. The world of counseling, psychiatrists, etc..... EXHAUSTING. EMOTIONAL. I will be praying that you find a good psych and for you as you need the strength to keep going at times when all of this is going on.

I enjoyed a lazy day, but did feel slightly guilty that the boys were again insulating -- another 7 hours -- but Tim told me to get other things done as Isaac wouldn't work hard if I was out there too. It's true...I'd be the one doing pretty much everything. I got the finances done, meal plan in place for the week, filled out some documents for Maegann's financial piece at school and just rested. I hear we are all going to Dairy Queen soon to celebrate having the insulation job finished. Isaac and I will take the blower back tomorrow, but I promised him that he gets to be lazy all day. Watch basketball, play PS4.... he's earned it!

Maegann is feeling better about things today and is actually getting a little promotion at work to meal prep. She is pulling a couple of evening shifts and that's where they need that help. Days they still have her as server, but this was good timing after some bad moments last week.

I am still having some pain in the thigh where I tweaked it and the foot seems to be okay now. The worst pain right now is in the upper calf just beneath the knee and it truly feels like tight muscles from my lower back to my ankle. If this would go away, even my knee wouldn't be causing so much trouble....as far as I can tell.

Janet — Are you totally healed up from the tumble?

Dorothy — Mary Poppins sounds like a great show to enjoy!

Not home much lately it seems and when I am home I find myself keeping up with the regulars...laundry, dishes, cooking, and grading papers.

My dad has been having chest pains. He finally went to the doctor on Friday and had an EKG done. When compared to one done in 2013 there is cause for concern. He is seeing a cardiologist on Monday for a consultation and to schedule a cardiac catheterization.

D20's counselor on Friday brought me into the counseling session toward the end and recommended that she see a psychiatrist in addition to the counseling sessions. She would like to see a medical diagnosis coming from a psychiatrist in addition to the family doctor. So far D20 has three separate diagnoses that may be symptoms of broader disorders. I'm wiped out mentally but my daughter is hopeful. That's a first in a few years.

Time to make dinner and call my mom to see how dad is doing.

Janet - you are lucky he is such a handy man and hard worker and he has quiet the helper in Issac.

Probably should get the meds if your appointment is not until May.

Got 2 of my book cases moved yesterday and books put away and a bunch of kitchen stuff put away yesterday. I have stuff to go into the basement and attic but did not make it that far - good after work projects.

Today my mom and I are off to see my grand daughter Amelia in Mary Poppins.

Tim would love to flip the house, but right now it is very convenient for us. We'll see! It is fun seeing the drywall going up and the insulation will be finished tomorrow. Tim said Isaac will be enough again to get that done which I am very thankful about.

My appointment isn't until May 30. I may have to break down and pay for another round of the spendy meds as I don't know what I'd be like by the appointment otherwise.

Janet - yes indeed it does sound like you need your thyroid checked. I go again in May. I should make an appointment for my hubby to go along for his sugar - I have just always enjoyed my Quiet Dr visits emoticon

How exciting you must be to be making progress with the house. Do you think you will stay there for a while or sell it and move again? I really hate moving. But I love to flip houses if I had the right partner.

Much to do today - better get busy.

Enjoy your weekend Dorothy!

More naps today. 90 minutes after Maegann got off to school and then an unexpected 30-45 min. mid afternoon. I sure need my end of May doctor appointment so I can get my thyroid level checked.

Spent the day with Isaac watching a few of the basketball games. We helped Tim with the insulation for about 3 hours this evening and he believes we are a little over half done with the bedroom end.

Janet - the biggest nap I ever get is if I meditate at lunch time - I sometimes come close to falling asleep and I feel so refreshed afterward - but lunch is only 1/2 an hour. But now that it is trying to get warmer out I will probably walk - I walked on Wednesday - yesterday it rained and today does not look promising.

I hope you start feeling better today/ Your body probably needed that nap so it could heal.

Should be a quiet weekend so I can gt more stuff done - which is good that it won't be warm out as it will force me to get the inside stuff done.

Dorothy~Too funny that your shopping trip with the hubby was "not pretty".

My leg/foot were feeling pretty good today until I spent time going up and down from the garage to the addition (no stair) while helping Tim with the ceiling insulation. Now they are irritated and letting me know it. At least the swelling on my thigh is gone.

Once home from the doctor I did a little paid work, watched "Love's Kitchen" (wasn't my favorite but it was sweet) and then couldn't keep my eyes open so I took a nap. 90 minutes! I didn't do much after that until Tim got home.

Janet - do be careful. I am sure you are going to be sore for a couple of days as it always seems to be worse the day after,

Geraniums are so nice and easy to maintain, There is a house in Warren that always has them in there boxes on there front porch in the summer and they always look so nice. And the same for a church that always plants them in there gardens. So simple and such a pop of color. /they both use red but there are many beautiful colors.

Khol - thinking of you and hoping all is well.

Took my mom to the funeral home last night as a childhood friend had died. After I dropped her off I took hubby shopping - good grief - it was worse then taking a child and the bill was not pretty when we were checking out emoticon

Had ladies Bible study this morning and then went by the pharmacy and lost my footing on the stupid curb that is too close to a narrow parking space and I hurt in so many different places tonight. Hips, neck, foot and some different aches around my bad knee. I protected it well though. Deep Blue and Ibuprofen are helping. Next I went and picked up groceries and then came home for the day. I did force myself to go get the garage swept out as the drywall is being delivered tomorrow.

Geraniums would be very pretty especially as it runs along the front porch. Bushes would hide the view out I think. Thanks!

Janet - sounds like a wonderful weekend. I love being outside and cleaning and seeing new growth. What about some time of shrubbery - burning bushes are always pretty. Or even just geraniums can add such a pop of color. So many possibilities. A trailing vine would be very pretty as well.

Got a lot of stuff moved and put away - I think that is the hardest part is putting stuff away and I have about 3 more totes of stuff I have to sort through - ugh!

Dorothy~So happy you are getting through things for the move! Nice weather helps the mood for it too.

It was a fun family game night. We all laughed so much we were exhausted! Word from Tayler (through Maegann) was that he had so much fun and couldn't wait for another game night. We almost got a second one tonight, but Maegann decided to go to his place and they are watching "The Apple Dumpling Gang" as we learned last night he did not know who Don Knotts or Tim Conway were!

This afternoon we all got busy outside. Tim worked on insulation and clearing out wood scraps from the addition and garage. Isaac's job was to haul those in for the fire tonight. Later he hauled the leaf bags to the back parking area for the trash. I chose to rake the mess of leaves that were along the front of the house and the fence and Maegann helped me bag them. She was getting the house Christmas lights on their rolls for storage. Finally got the last of them down. I did find quite a few bulbs coming up for spring flowers! Need to transplant the ones I see by the back steps tomorrow so Ellsworth doesn't eat them down to the ground again this year.

Any thoughts on what I could do with a brick planter out front (south side)? The most difficult part is we don't want to just run water into it as it will begin to break the brick down and then it will just look horrible. I think it is about 2' wide and 5-6' long.

Nice to get some jobs done on the house - sounds like it is coming along nicely.

It is gorgeous out today after yesterdays snow squalls and wind. Luckily it did not amount to much.

Got through a bunch of boxes yesterday - yea - going to bring more stuff over today - lol emoticon

Spent most of my day hauling furniture and boxes from the addition to the back patio in preparation for insulation and drywall. Looks huge in there now!

Tonight Maegann's friend Tayler is coming over for game night and that will be fun. Besides the fact that it has been too long since our last game night, it will force Tim to stop working for the day and we get to know Tayler better as we've only visited with him one time.

Good for you Dorothy! I spent time organizing furniture items that Isaac had hauled out of the addition so that we have more space to add to it on Saturday as the final area of storage will be brought out as we are insulating and drywall is next! Yippee!

Nice that you could help your friend haul furniture.

I did call the timeshare and am on a waiting list. I hope something comes open if even for a partial week.

Got my doctor appointment made for May 31. She only takes one new patient each day so I will wait as I like that she is a DO and I'm used to the "natural" approach. I also like that she is less than 5 minutes from home vs. an hour.

Yesterday I took a friend to pick up a table set in my van - its a stow away so lots of room to get things in. Then she decided to buy a couch and chair from the same people so we made another trip this time with her truck to pick them up. It was raining when we picked up the table set hence the van - it had pretty much cleared up in the afternoon when we went back - about an hour drive each way - and we covered it well with a tarp. So I did not get much of my own stuff down again - Not sure how my weekends are always filling up. I have so much stuff to get done

So sorry about the spring break - hopefully they have another slot open.

Glad Maegann was able to get rested up.

Maegann's day was a bit rougher today, but she made it through and bounced back tonight once home and fed. Now she has 4 days of work coming, but at least she is home by 2 so will have more down time and she can practice some of the things she is learning on her "somewhat scary" doll heads. LOL

Well, the Isaac-Mom getaway isn't happening because I went to send our "yes, we are using our week" and saw the note to check the dates as there were 53 weeks on their schedule last year. Yep...that puts it the week after spring break. Oh well. Will have to figure something out for that week and Monday I will call and see if there is anything available. Doubtful, but you never know.

Glad to hear that Maegann is liking school - I hope it does not get to be too much for her.

I totally agree that you Isaac getting away is much needed,

Warmer this morning - 18 and suppose to get up in the 40's - I am hoping the really cold weather is behind us.

A massage sounds perfect.

Ran Mike around on a bunch of errands last night after work as he did not feel like driving, This morning he jumps into his truck to run to the camp to get some of his stuff - emoticon -good grief.

I am headed to Erie later today to drop off a box spring and to head to Sams Club.

I'm glad our cold right now is low 20, but that wind! Ugh!

Maegann had a good second day, but wore her brain out with note taking today. Her dad took her to the store tonight to buy an iPencil so she can make the notes on the iPad instead. This way she can highlight things, make brief notes and recall it later. Other than their book work on the core elements they got to learn braids. Tonight's homework is making 4 cornrows. Said they are so difficult, but fun. Tomorrow is a little shorter day and then she can rest the brain and have fun with her old people at work.

I really do think it would be good for me to get away with Isaac. He's got so much going on right now with age, social, questions.....

Massage was much needed today. More than I even knew. Well, it's almost 11pm and I'm saying goodnight!

Janet - how wonderful all of the pieces are falling into place for Maegann. I hope school gets over the boring phase. I think Michael has been bored alot as it has been a lot of going over things he already knew as well.

Smart setting aside one night a week to keep up with old friends.

I think it would do you and Isaac good to get away together.

Mike did well yesterday - lets hope that continues.

8 degrees this morning but it should be the last of this cold weather.

Dorothy~Will be interesting to see if Mike ever does get the memory back of those couple of days. Hope he can remain stable without more episodes. Scary for sure!

Kohl~Vacation planning...I am thinking of going to McCall with Isaac over spring break as neither Maegann nor Tim can get away that week. They have so much snow up there which would make it easy just to hang out and do a lot of relaxing. We'll see.

I did get my day at home other than a few trips to deliver food. McD's for Isaac as a treat for a long day and then an emergency food trip for Maegann about 5pm as she was out of snacks and was getting lightheaded with a headache. That usually means low blood sugar and/or protein. She still had 2 1/2 hours to go so it was a "must do" errand.

Maegann's first day of classes went very well other than much of the day was "boring" as it was just core lessons and more "book work" than "hands on". They had warned them that the first week would be like this so it was good they spent the last couple of hours getting their cosmetology kit and going through them. Left them all in a happy place at the end of the day. Thankful she brought it home before she went over to Tayler's for their movie night. They have chosen Thursday evenings as their hang out time so they don't lose their friendship due to full schedules. He works nights and this is the only evening he routinely has off.

Kohl~I'm glad that this doctor seems to be working for D20 and that you enjoyed time with an old friend!

I had a day spent mostly out of the house so am looking forward to another all day home day.

Janet — Maybe I just got a hold of a bad batch. The bags don't appear to be split until they try to puff up.

I went to my last doctor's appointment with D20. I told the doctor that I would no longer sit in now that counseling has begun but that I would like to be brought in for medicine changes. She won't be seeing him until the end of May. We are doing this!

D14 will finish exercises for Introductory Latin tomorrow. I will give her a comprehensive test for good measure sometime next week after she reviews for a bit. I love to wrap up courses so early in the year! She started Improv classes on Wednesdays in February and so today I reconnected with a homeschooling mother from a co-op we use to attend together. And yes it was so much fun that I will count that as me time for today. Just what I needed!

Tonight my husband and I are trying to plan a visit to his dad's and my sister's starting on Friday this week after D20's counseling session. My sister is on spring break from school. She's working toward a counseling degree and works two part time jobs to stay afloat. So visiting when she's free is awesome. It would be our smaller family of four as D20 will be back at school and D23 starts orientation for her new job this week.

Dorothy~You've had a lot going on. Glad that Mike is better, but I'd be like you and wanting him to stay a couple more days for stability.

Kohl~Sounds like a nice day. I'm surprised about the brand popcorn bags being split. We buy those all the time and they've been fine.

No massage today after all as my therapist has the flu. Rescheduled for Friday. Instead I got through half of my monthly client budget reviews and watched "The Good Witch". It's a cute movie series.

Tomorrow morning is bible study and the afternoon will be spent with Maegann for her neuro-behavioral appointment and banking.

Dorothy — Oh my, that's a lot to go through! Glad he's improving. I hope you are able to convince him to take it slow.

Yesterday my homeschooling responsibilities consisted of working through spelling and writing with D12 and grading her math. D14 was working on a paper about the Gold Rush for English so no help needed yet on that until I get out my red grading pen in a few days. She also is working through algebra II and statistics on KhanAcademy so no help teaching or grading for her math now. I kind of miss the daily time with her though. I cried a bit yesterday as the most rewarding time of my day is the homeschooling teaching part and I'm missing it most severely now with her. Guess she and I need to do some online crosswords together. We haven't done that in a while.

D20's home on spring break and she's spending lots of time with D14. They are learning to write and speak the days of the week in Japanese. We all are listening to music in the language, too!

March means spring to me so I've started spring cleaning in the kitchen. So far I've cleaned the fridge's freezer since it was basically empty. I stubbed out the microwave as it was all buttery from the bags of microwave popcorn. Wal-Mart no longer sells Pop Weaver and has replaced it with their own brand. I thought we'd give it a try...all the bags either split or are buttery on the outside to begin with. Not a lover of Wal-Mart and this puts me over the edge. There prices are not even that great and products I use frequently keep disappearing from the shelf being replaced with substandard GV ones. My favorite non refrigerated salsa that I used in a pinch was replaced with a sugary/vinegary blah one.

Mike was much better yesterday - finally fully awake, He was able to eat and they even got him out of bed. He wants to come home - I am trying to convince him to give it a few days.

So sorry I fell off the grid. My friend - the one that recently lost her husband - was here for a couple of days. After she left I was doing laundry and happened to go check on hubby and he was having seizures. I have no idea how long he was like that - had to call the ambulance and they got him to the hospital. His sugar level was 19. It took them about 4 hours to get his sugar stabilized. And he was very combative so they had to tie him down. They finally admitted him and I came home - it was midnight. Next morning he was still incoherent. And he kept trying to get out of bed. They finally slapped a pain patch on him as they had taken his off in the ER and a nicotine patch on him After a long day he finally calmed down. Still was incoherent. Yesterday morning he was finally starting to talk. But slept the whole time I was there. I am going to go into work for half a day and then go to the hospital. Hopefully he is doing better today.

Weather wise it was snowing when my friend came so lots of shoveling. Then it got nice for a couple of days. Snowed again last night. Suppose to be bitter cold all week and finally next week I think we will begin to see a change. Alleluia!

Dorothy — A new winter wonderland fell today.

Janet — Meagan's life is in constantly flux, isn't it? So many changes for her this year.

D20 is home for spring break this week and is working at catching up on piano performance piece, paintings, and digital art. Sounds like fun to me but it's the amount that she has to perfect in music and produce in art that becomes the issue with her. We usually take time off from homeschooling on college breaks if she comes home but this time we decided to do mornings together with D20 to keep her motivated and so we pick topics for our homeschool expo before the week is out. This week she also starts setting up a treatment plan with her counselor since the initial assessment in the office is complete. Our family doctor will be so pleased to hear that.

This morning we went as a family (minus D23 who had to work) to the church we've gone to for three weeks now. It seems to be growing on us but no talk as of yet from my husband on definitely settling there. Today's sermon was on grace alone. The pastor is a philosophy professor from the college D20 attends and is a great speaker/explainer.

My husband has been trying to wrap up taxes so he can head out west to visit his dad once again soon, possibly this week.

Enjoyed being able to just stay home today and it was made even nicer as snow was flying off and on all day. I did go out with Maegann to the DMV to get her title and license on the new car taken care of, but that was it.

Tomorrow morning is Bible study...yeah!
