we ordered our invitations from 123print.com and our save the dates on Vista print...they were both very reasonable. I booked a hall that does my centerpieces and place settings in the price of the hall. I am using a friend for the DJ and photographer! What are some more money saving tips?

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

We've done a few things to save some some
1. Our save the dates were sent electronically through theknot.com
2. Most of our invitations were hand delivered to our guests instead of mailing them.
3. We've requested that our guests to email their responses and meal choices to us instead of them being mailed.
4. One of my best friends and bridesmaid is great with a needle and thread and she's offered to make my veil and garter.

My fiance and I are going to send save the date postcards instead of picture cards or something else... We bought Avery postcard paper at Officemax and printed them out from our computer.

They look so cute, and we got exactly what we wanted for a fraction of the price. Not to mention we're saving a bundle on postage, since postcards are less expensive to mail! =)

Make as much as you can yourself. Enlist bridesmaids, family and other friends to help. Create the inventations on the computer, make simple favors, your tossing bouqyet, flower arrangements. Use items that can come in bulk, like balloons and candles. Oriental Trading is good for bulk.

Try Ebay for veils. I found a ton from basic and simple to elaborate. All less than $30! Definitely better than spending $200 for 3 yds of tulle in a bridal salon.

I heard a great idea that I am going to use for my wedding. For your something borrowed ask to borrow someone's veil. Close friends and family are probably the best bet, also ask with enough time for the person to try to find where they put it!

Buy a veil from Michael's with a 50% off coupon for $7. This is basic and all I did to mine was sew on pearl beads to make it what I wanted. Saved tons on money!

One day at a time is all it takes to make a lifetime.

Well, I decided to start a new thread where we could give eachother tips on how to save money, DIY, or anything else to help with the wedding.

Here's mine: Buy die cut outs (or stencils) and use them as place cards. Depending on the size you use you could save about $22 per 100.
