Just ordered The Prairie Primer for dd. I'm looking forward to reading the Little House series and doing the activities and such with dd. Time to focus on her some more. :) She's in 6th. Think I'm set on my senior's stuff. He's doing weight training with the football team this summer, and it will be his 2nd year playing football with the ps.

Me!!! I'm busy working on the plans!!

My oldest is a senior this year and has decided he wants to take a few classes at our local highschool (which is very homeschooler-friendly). He'll be doing English 4 at home. We've used Switched on Schoolhouse since he's been in 4th grade, so I'm sure that's the English program we'll get. I've got to narrow down an option for computer programming for him, too.

Then there's my 1st grade son. I'm still trying to decide for him. I'm thinking I'll go with Christian Light Education for Reading/English and Math and unit studies for the rest of it.

I've got two girls (a 4th grader and a 7th grader as of the fall) who attend full-time at our local public school, too. No decisions to make there.

I've used Horizons Math through the 4th grade, but not sure what I'm going to use this year for my 5th grader. I would like to find something that explains more how to do the work of the problem. Anyone have any ideas? Any good computer software curriculum? I really enjoy Bob Jones with everything else. Don't know if I should go that route for math though. Hmm.

But to answer the first main question. :-) Yes, I have already started dividing up days and planning what needs to be done by when. I like working on it when I have some free time.

Enjoy your summer!

We are using Abeka again this year (3rd grade) but until we order and receive the books we are using a summer links book we bought at Sam's club and next week I am going to be adding some science to that(the other book is only math, language and cursive) He keeps asking me if it is going to get harder(that cracks me up) (imagine this next part in an 8yr olds best attempt to sound like an adult..."mom, my education depends on this in needs to get harder". It was so hard not to laugh but I wanted him to know I was taking him serious. I love that kid :D

We're using K12 for the first time. I've always homeschooled with me being the teacher, but now I'll be sharing that responsibility. I'm excited to try something new, but a little nervous, too. :)
