That sounds like a perfectly wonderful homemade gift! I am so tired of all the "mall mentality" when it comes to Christmas. I'm glad that the little ones like their jammies so much.

Well, this thread is probably finished for now. All I have left to do for Christmas now is to finish the very few leftovers I have, take down the decorations, tree and lights, and clean house--again :)

See you make me bummed! I have done no sewing this year at all. My machine is broken and since I spent most of the summer in surgical boots and on pain meds, I didn't even bother to get it done.

Most of my family is getting jams and jellies I made before the surgeries this summer and a copy of the cookbook I just finished. It's all the recipes from Granny's box.

The shopping's done for both food and gifts. DH wrapped all our gifts to the grands last night while I knitted on the last sock that I'll be able to do before our gift exchange. I'll finish it today and get it wrapped for my mom. DD stuffed stockings yesterday with the toys and candy we bought for everyone. We've got a stocking for each family member hung in our living room--29 in all!

I've got all the pajamas cut out and stacked beside my sewing machine. 5 sets are wrapped and under the tree, 5 more sets need buttons, and the last 3 need to be put together. I know, I had hoped to be done with this weeks ago; alas, I'm still sewing! I think the kids all expect it by now. The thing is that I didn't have enough matching buttons in my stash and I ran out of 3/4" elastic for the waistbands! We live over an hr. from the nearest fabric store, so I just had to wait until we were going to town. I got all the elastic threaded through the casings last night and will get the buttons on this a.m. Then the last three sets will go together fairly quickly (I hope!)

I'm listening to some great Christmas music and some messages from one of my favorite pastors on CD's, so the time in the sewing room is very uplifting. I have to be careful not to be a hermit!

Yeah, I think I'd redo the elastic too. Not worth it on our set as you can see through them too. LOL They've been used by 3 kids now so it's time to toss them.

I got lucky. My sister was going to target yesterday so I said, "while you're there..." and she found a set of spiderman sheets for me. Yay Anita! So, I'm DONE!

I have a set that's only six months old, if that, and the elastic died! Makes me mad! I may have to redo it, as the sheets are still like new.

I still have all the sorting and wrapping to do...

I have to get my little guy a sheet set and that's it. 3 of the 4 kids were gone yesterday so the presents are wrapped and the stocking stuff has been bought and divided up into bags. Just have to find those sheets. Got the others plain ones but he's still at the stage where he likes the character ones. I either want to find Cars or Mickey Mouse because I had to throw the mickey set away the other day. It's only 10 years old, I can't believe the elastic died. LOL

I believe my shopping is done. Yeah!!!

This week I'll be making a rag lapquilt for my mil, and sewing the kids fleece blankets.
