OK....I moved down a floor. Lost 1.2 pounds this week and am now at 158.

I don't miss the penthouse one bit.

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Oregon...but the clouds are starting to roll in. I'll take whatever sunshine I can get.

I admit it, I step on the scale every day. I find it helpful to not get scared of seeing what happens when I drink a glass of wine with dinner (nothing) or eat salty food (usually a small temporary weight gain)....

Well today my weight was down even a bit more. I am really starting to believe that I am firmly in the 150s and that I can leave this joint sometime in the next coupla months.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not be here much for the next couple days. My cousin(26 yrs old) was killed in a car accident. I jotted a bit of a blog about it, but have since found out that his newly engaged to girlfriend also parished as a result! Things are crazy and the phone is ringing all day!

EXERTIGER...we had a similar situation the last few years, but this year put in raised beds and tried companion planting and it has proven to be fabulous. Possibly you should give it a go next year!

We planted a garden. It's pathetic. We plant one every year. It's pathetic every year. My husband took a gardening class. Still pathetic. The fruit trees that we keep planting don't produce fruit (we're getting apples, though and 9 apricots) Someday our garden will really grow and we won't know what to do about it.

Anybody on this team planning on attending the SP Convention in Ohio in September. My Bday is Sept 15th and DH thought it would be a nice gift to go and spend the weekend. So I'm just wondering if anyone else planted a garden this year? We spent most of the spring building new raised beds, and they are working wonderful. Only bad part... less weeding, less exercise LOL!!(trust me I have enough weeding to do in the rest of everything lol!)

I was out to check on the veggies yesterday and there are "little veggies" everywhere...broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, green peppers,cukes, tomatoes, even a couple green beans. I love fresh veggies from the garden... can't wait till they are big enough to pick.

Fortunately calorie cycling does it for me, but doesn't work for everyone.. nor does everyone like to do it.

Other than that, it is proven that if you obsess too much about losing you can actually block the loss from happening. As hard as it is... and trust me I struggle with it from time to time... we must remember that the scale and the numbers don't tell the whole story. Know that if you are making the best possible choices on a daily basis where food, exercise and water are concerned you are making progress. Sure it's frustrating when you don't see the numbers change, but change IS taking place, and it will show itself when the time is right whether it's in the form of numbers on the scale, inches lost on the tape, or stronger leaner muscles, heart and lungs.

Quite possibly if you are exercising daily, you may not be getting enough calories. I've found that happened to me, and still does. If I add much exercise to my regular schedule and eat the same I won't lose and sometimes see the scale go up. It's a fine line, and getting that balance is the hardest part. Have you had SP re figure your calorie range since the loss you've achieved so far.

That's great that you guys lost the weight! I was just wondering what other people find most successful in losing weight besides calorie cycling, and general exercise/eating healthy.

I know for me, I'm the "health freak" of my friends and exercise every day and eat very clean but can't ever seem to lose weight. But for me, it's STRESS that does it...whenever I calm down and stop analyzing and thinking about food the lbs drop...fast.

When I went to Italy 2 years ago, I ate whatever I wanted and didn't exercise other than casual walks and lost more than 5 lbs by simply RELAXING.

What are some other tips you guys use to lose weight when you seem to have hit a plateau?
