I think that is what I thank Nia for the most... inspiring me enough to actually find other centers when I can't go to my own, because I love the way I feel when I'm dancing, y'know?

I'm sure next time I travel I'll be asking people for recommendations. Seems like everyone loves their teachers! :)

The only place that I've ever done Nia is Nia Moves in Houston, Texas. It's owned by two ladies, Helen and Kristie and they are great! If I had a ton of extra time and money, I'd SO get my Nia belts and teach!

It's great that you found a home-away-from-home!

In my quest to continue keeping Nia in my life, even when I'm out of town, I found an amazing Nia center in Ventura, CA.

There were about 10 people in the class, taught by Kathy something-I-don't-remember. Every one of the class members was warm and inviting to me, perhaps even a little surprised that someone from Seattle would visit their center.

I have to say, going home to visit my folks now holds an added element of joy as I know that I will be back here anytime I travel to SoCal. No one can replace my teacher in Bellevue (Randee Fox), but it was such an amazing experience that I had to share.

Anyone have any favorite studios or visiting Nia experiences?
