I feel I have made quite a lot of progress in the fitness arena. My excess weight was lost quickly (six months or so). Since then, my weight has been fine -- sometimes higher or lower, but still within a fairly small range. And, I would classify myself as thin (but not skinny.)

Since joining Sparkpeople, I have exercised much more than before. I still keep track of my exercise, and I walk almost every morning and go to the gym or Curves six days a week. I'm still not a "gym rat", but I would feel very weird if I didn't do something almost every day. And, I have been wearing a pedometer for at least three years (most of the time), and it does help me make sure I get in my daily steps. Not always 10,000, but that is my goal.

Like you, I do enjoy swimming and outdoor walks.

All in all, I think I'm doing very well for someone my age.

I can't remember how much i weighed when i joined. I was on the way up after having lost about 40 lbs. then i kept gaining until 2010 when i got back to the beginning. Now i have been going down and am 10lbs from my goal, but m.b. i'll stay here because maintaining here is better than going back up.

I have also learned the power of compounded small changes.

I love moving. Before i exercised at the gym and it was a bit of a chore. Now i do what is fun--swimming, ice skating, outdoor walks...

I am still learning how to feel my feelings instead of eating them.
