The last few days I've been thinking about mindful eating. My TOPS chapter (TOPS.org) had a discussion about eating without distractions and I watched an episode of Ruby (Netflixx) that dealt with what they called 'gentle eating', or something like that.

I recalled that one day I did the math and found that my weight gain over ten years only amounted to about an extra half cookie's worth of calories a day above my caloric needs. That's it! Just a 'little' taste can have a big effect, when added up over the course of a year.

Do you eat mindfully or are you eating little handfuls here and there? Just imagine what we could do if we managed these mindless eating episodes better. I would be at my goal weight.
