What has happened to this team?
I can only speak for me.
I became disconnected.
I forgot about the mother who joined in hopes of changing the way she looked and being around for her kids.
I forgot about the most difficult thing which was quitting smoking and smoked a pack of cigarettes between June 25th 2016 and July 1, 2016, my first since March 31, 2009.
I could feel all kinds of negative things and call myself all kinds of names behind it, but why? I didn't buy the pack, I found it. I could have left it for someone else who smokes, but I didn't. I have been through the withdrawal and have decided to mark it as a mistake, and learning that even though smoking is my weakness, it doesn't have to have me because I didn't buy a pack, and have no desire to buy one now that the pack is finished. I enjoyed it for what it was, a free pack of smokes that came at a stressful time in my life (seeing my ex-husband's wife and her child on my son and daughter's graduation days).

Most importantly, I forgot about what was the motivating factor behind coming here in the first place.
That is what happened for me.
If you come across this post, know that you are not alone in your question of what happened, and there are no judgements on this team.
My neighborhood is your neighborhood, don't be afraid to stop by! :)

Hi Rubyemma - Keep on with the good fight. I see you quit smoking. . . I'm impressed. What a wonderful (and difficult) step to take for yourself and your family. BRAVO!

I joined this team to remind myself when I first joined and how close I am to my goal, no matter how many million setbacks I have experienced. I refuse to beat myself up and will just keep trying. The weight has to come off, and I won't quit trying. FIGHT THE FAT!

Hey, being a lot healthier is fundamental - so this trip has been a success. If you are like me, you just want to make it more of a success. So, it is time I dropped another five pounds on the way to my goal. I better do it now, because it does not get easier tomorrow.

I'm still here, plugging away, not having much success losing but at least I'm a lot healthier now.

I'm here. Wouldn't it be interesting to see histories for the members since when we joined.

I have not yet managed to get to the weight I would like, but I did get my BMI into a normal weight and I have kept it there. At this time, I am working seven days a week and not managing to get the physical activity I need and want. . . I wish I could control my work deadlines better and work more reasonable hours. Working seven days a week just sucks the life out of me.

On a brighter note, in June I rode my bike in the Colorado Rockies for a week. This was the second year I have done the Bicycle Tour or Colorado. My physical fitness definitely decreased between June 2010 and June 2011, but at the end of the week, I was certainly in better shape than when I started!

Of course, the downside of any vacation is that I am still trying to catch up at work from the week in June and 10 days vacation in May. I guess that is one of the downsides of being self-employed. But I would like to be able to have better balance because I really really really enjoy being physically activity.

So who is left from the class of summer 2007 ?

I'm here ... still struggling but trying to get back in the saddle - so to speak.

Let's get this group going again ... I know, I for one, need support !

I think there are still members of this team on sparkpeople, this team just doesn't seem to keep many active threads for long. I have lost 30 lbs. so far and still have 30 to go.

Thanks for responding. Is this team active anymore?

Great job on your weight loss and best of luck for your half marathon! I find setting athletic goals is my best motivator. Plus the athletic events have been challenging and fun.

I just started training for a half marathon, but have not yet signed up for one. Summer 2008, I completed 4 sprint triathlons and this sumer I have done 2 Olympic distance triathlons and am signed up for a third. I have decided to train for a 1/2 marathon because I want to improve my run times in the triathlons (and because I was ready for something new).

I am at a decent weight for my height and have stayed in the 130s for over a year now. BUT, I am ready to push for another 10+ pound loss and so am checking in with sparkpeople more regularly to find help and support.

I am still here and have lost 58 lbs -- I will be run/walking my first 1/2 marathon on Nov. 15th and I am doing well! I have learned to make healthy choices though I still eat some unhealthy stuff -- I stick to my healthy lifestyle most days

How about you??

I thought it would be interesting to come back and find out how others on my class team were faring, but this team seems virtually nonexistent. Is this just the back to school busy-ness, or is this team virtually gone?
