What I am doing for week 4 is I was able to get through the first three intervals. But that final 5, ugh, not happening. So I run the first minute, walk 1, run 1, walk 1 for a final 1 min run (3 min run/ 2 min walk). Next week will repeat and try to run 2, walk 1, run 2. Then try the 3rd week to do the entire workout. So, I plan on spending 3 weeks on week 4. Not interested in pushing myself to misery.

Break it up, maybe like the other poster suggested backtrack to week 3. Maybe you pushed yourself too hard and just weren't ready for week 4 and now it's a mental wall. Don't be afraid to go at a pace you can do, regardless of run/walk times. Just being out there moving is doing a lot!

When that happened to me I went back to the previous run a couple of times, then tried again and made the 5 minute runs. It still felt like I was going to die afterwards, but I did them!

I have been purposely working my way through the program slowly to ensure I am able to complete each step successfully a couple of times before moving on. I seem to be stuck on week 4. The best result I have had was getting through the first 5 min run, but walked after 4 min of the second round. Every attempt since then has gotten worse and worse. Less running, more walking. Just can't seem to complete the 5 minute time on either attempt. I have tried slowing down and speeding up. Fixing my mind on something other than the seconds ticking by.... Adding rest days.... Nothing makes a difference. Being challenged to get over this hurdle makes me want to give up BUT I WON!T!! Any ideas would be appreciated.
