It's your new shoes...2 to 3 run trial on them is not wore in....I don't even run marathons without at least 50 miles on the shoes. If your you believe it's your socks switch it up get the high price wick socks. If you are experiencing blisters it's your shoes...either too small/big or just cheap shoes. I lost one toenail to bad shoes and won't wear anything but asics now. I'm a size 9 in regular shoes, heels and I'm a ten in my running shoes. Go get your stride looked at at a professional running store and see what the say about your strike and then go from there. Good luck and happy running.

So on Thursday's run (week 3, day 3) I wore ankle socks in my new shoes. I wore the new shoes for 2-3 runs already and it's been fine. However, I realize now the ankle socks were not a good idea- my back heels are rubbed raw (bloody actually!).

I band-aided everything up and didn't run this weekend (kind of afraid to run now since it hurts so much). But hoping to get out tonight and with lots of bandaids and good socks!

Anyone else have this issue with their feet? I often struggle with shoes and my achilles heel (not sure if it's my gait or something). I even refuse to wear strappy sandles- as I've been hurt so many times before. This time I'm pretty sure the ankle socks just hit the wrong spot with the new shoes, but I'm so tired of this recurring problem.
