Alright, well keep on keeping on, then! I am having a tough time getting up in the morning to do this on days that I work. I work 12 hour shifts, so there isn't much time for anything else on those days that I am on. I have to remind myself that it is only a half an hour!! Better luck for me tomorrow, I hope

Geannie: I was wondering the same thing. I would love to join the challenge and could do with losing 2lbs a week for the next 3 weeks..I'm game!

I've been doing the C25K program, originally as a way to train for the Feaster Five on Thanksgiving. I didn't finish the program..think I am up to week 3 now..I track it on my phone. So I did the 5K the way I've been doing my C25K program, more as an interval training (ran, walked, ran, etc.). I still want to finish the program and actually run a whole 5K..so I will continue on.

I've been MIA for awhile now while life had a mind of its own. No way I'm going to make my original goal but wouldn't it be great to be under 300. what a Christmas present. Welcome to the group

No posts in over a month! Everyone still in here? I want to join, too, even though a little late. 2 lbs a week until Christmas.

So.... how is everyone doing? Just started Couch to 5k. I have started it a few times before and scrapped it during the 5 min runs... hoping for some better results this time. I am currently finishing up week 2!!

That's so weird! My boss has a Matthew, born April 17, 1996. I didn't know it until after my son was born.

April 16, 2012=194lbs; April 17, 2012= Matthew is born!
May 2014=165lbs; September 2014=158lbs;January 2017=180lbs; December 2017=186lbs

This is fantastic! I weighed-in yesterday at 177lbs. I have hypothyroidism so the weight may come off more slowly, but I'm going to shoot for 10lbs down by Christmas. That'll get me in the 160s for the first time in 8 years!

EILEEN2BOYS: Good luck with the c25k. I love that program!! There will be times when you love it and hate it, just stick with it!

This sounds great! I'd love to participate as well, since I could really use the extra motivation. My goal would be 2lbs a week. So, since there are 65 days left until Christmas that would be 18.5 lbs lost. That should be pretty achievable.

when do we start?

right now, as of today I'm 174.2
10% of that would be 17.4

so my goal weight by Christmas is 156.8

next weigh in 10/26 sound good?

I'm totally on board with the Christmas title. In percentage terms I'm looking at 10% by Christmas. I'll be able to fit into the clothes in my closet, can't think of a better Christmas gift to myself.

I think it would be better if we did percentage weight loss rather than actual pounds, as I only have 13 lbs to go til my goal weight. It wouldn't be healthy for me to try losing as much weight as some people want to.

I'm in! I need to lose a total of 60 lbs. Between now snd Xmas it is realistic for me to lose 20 so that will be my goal. That is 2 lbs per week.

Best present we can give ourselves and our family.

would anyone like to do a friendly competition for xmas? everyone would weigh in once a week up until xmas and we can see whose lost the most weight. You would just tell me how many lbs you wanted to loose.
