I'm officially back on track...I think!! LOL!!
I'm running in my 1st official 5K this Saturday in Xenia, Ohio! I am super excited. My 20 yr. old daughter will be running with me. It's kind of a big deal for me. My kids begged me to quit smoking for years. I finally quit Dec. 1, 2012 (I started the C25K program in November)!! Now I'm still not smoking, I know I can run the 5K, and she might have to struggle a little to keep up with her old mom!!
I'm feeling strong!

Still not completely back to normal but I did go running today. I ran 2 miles and walked 1. I was outside and we had a snow storm last night so the terrain was a bit interesting! Hopefully I get back on track now!

I think as long as you keep doing something, when you are well again, it won't take too long to get back any lost time.

I've been sick for 5 days now. It's respiratory, cough, sore throat, can't breathe through my nose. I walked on Saturday for about 30 minutes but I've not been running since Monday! I'm so terrified that once I get back to normal I will have completely un-done all of my hard work. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I feel like crap and all I can think about is how much progress I'm losing! Hoping tomorrow or tuesday I can breathe well enough to try a run...
