They recommend carbs way before a run for the mental aspect of it. I believe 50% carbs, 20 fat, 30 protein. But eat smart carbs, don't use this as an excuse to eat up that whole box of white pasta.

Also, I've heard that chocolate milk (the real PET stuff that comes as is, not the syrups/powders) add back the correct balance of nutrients and electrolytes after a run.

I feel hunger is a good sign that you're not over training, at least that's a sign of over training in weight lifting.

Haha, I can empathize. Thankfully I'm not training for a marathon, just a couple separate 5K's. ;)

Me too...I'm a starving lunatic after I run. I feel that way for the rest of the day and night.

I can't imagine how hungry I'd feel if I ran a marathon?!

Is there such a thing as a diet for runners? I doubt there is, but I thought I'd ask.. *blushes*

I've found that when I have a higher intensity workout, I tend to be STARVING the rest of the day/night, is there any snack hat helps you to not feel so starving after a good workout?
