Do you have a holiday function that you attend every year? or a vacation in the next few months or a wedding coming up? Pick an event and imagine yourself looking strong and confident. Try and drum up some motivation or a goal. Do you have a list of goals written out?

Here's a list posted by Coach Nichole in early June:

Why I Run:

1. I run to de-stress.
2. I run to relax.
3. I run to energize myself.
4. I run to compete.
5. I run to sweat.
6. I run because I ate too much.
7. I run because it feels good.

Maybe it would help to pick another race to sign up for to help motivate you. Just because you had one bad experience with planning a race doesn't mean the next one won't be great. Just a thought. Thinkabout why you want to run and write down a list of what it means to you or does for you or makes you feel. Maybe that will help too.

Maybe it would help if you figure out exactly why you aren't running like you used to. Have you started some negative self-talk about running? Are you afraid of it going wrong? Do you not enjoy it any more?
If you can find the problem it would be easier to sort it : )

You might want to try to get other people to go with you. I know I'm much less likely to cancel/not show up for an appointment with friends.

Things haven't been the same since the race-that-wasn't...and I can't figure out how to get back on track. Any advice? I've run a little here and there, but I can't seem to stick with it lately :(
