I "run" 3 times a week and never back to back. My problem previous times when I have started exercise, I have done too much and have not built the basic endurance. I am on week 6, almost week 7 and if I do some other form of exercise the day before a run, the run just feels so much harder....So I'm concentrating on this for now and will add other forms of activities later..

If you walk, just walk. If you sit, just sit; but whatever you do, dont wobble.

Depends on my week and if I'm doing a race... I do the 3 per week workout and then I also try 1 or 2 more workouts for distance. Finished a 10K today!

I'm starting my second week, and I'm aiming for three times a week. I've read you really need a good 24-48 hours recovery time, so I TRY not to run two days in a row, but last week I had to or I wouldn't have gotten the three days. Once I'm more in shape I may run more often and therefore run multiple days in a row, but I think for beginners, it's probably good to have the longer recovery time. I also struggle a bit with plantar fasciitis, so the recovery time definitely helps that as well.

3 to 4 days. I think 3 is good and not back to back. The body needs a rest day in between. Do your other exercises on those days. emoticon

I'm in my first week and I ran three times.

I also swim laps, ride my bicycle & do a dumbbell routine.
