I've been downloading podrunner podcasts from iTunes. I got Nike plus GPS for my iPhone. I created a playlist on my phone with podrunner and a few extra songs, then I play that playlist through the Nike plus GPS app. I set the nike app to tell me when I have finished every 1/2 mile. The nike app has a voice over that will then tell me every half mile how far I've gone and what my pace was. The podrunner podcast tells me when to walk and when to run. Now I'm at week 6 day 3.

I have an android and recommend C25K Pro. I got the free version when I first started, but after I kept it up for a couple of weeks, I upgraded to the pro version. It was well worth the $1.99. It tracks everything for you and literally tells you when to run and walk. You can also listen to your own music while the app is running and post your workouts to facebook! I'm in week 8 now, so I don't need it as much since I'm only running now, but it was a big help in the beginning.

I use the stopwatch on my iphone since it will record all the intervals for me and keep the log. My husband bought me a stopwatch for mother's day and it will do a lap split, but no log and no on going timer. I also downloaded MapMyRun, which is a free app that will record map and distance and has notifications of pace per mile (I am not sure I can make a shorter pace, such as 1/2 mile which would be really nice).

Good Luck!

Do you have a smartphone? There are apps available for iPhones and Android phones that will time the run intervals for you. If you don't have a phone, do you have an iPod? There are several podcasts that will time the program for you, as well.

I just started to C25K program last week and I do not have any means to time my intervals...can anyone offer a suggestion? I am not opposed to spending around $50-$80 on an easy to use sportswatch if you have a suggestion or anything else....Thanks!
