I love the fact that you have nominations and I think that cjwald would be a fabulous leader! :) i hope that who ever you chose will be actively involved in our lives! :) as in daily! we need that! :)

I would like to lead this team because I have grown to love running and I started with using the C25K plan. I also would like to try my hand at leading a team for the experience and to keep myself involved with Spark, I have lost interest in the Spark in the past and think if I have a leadership role, I will stay involved.

I would like to promote encouragement, sharing stories, ideas, trials, progress, overcoming obstacles, success etc.

I smoked when I was young and when I was 26 I decided to quit, which I did but packed on the pounds. I started running to lose the weight, which I did, I ran 3-5 miles a few times a week for about 4 years. Ah, to be young again, I was in the best shape of my life. I then got married, had kids, fast forward about 20 years with little to no exercise. I tried to start C25k in 2006, 2007 and 2008. I think I finished the 9 weeks one of those years, but this year I was determined to start, finish and continue running. I started C25K in February 2011, signed up for my first 5k of my life for May 1st. Ran/walked it in 37:50. Then continued to sign up for 5k's and have done about 6 or 7 and now have a 34:35 PR. I am still trying to learn the lingo, I forget what PR stands for but I know it means my best time.

I am not a leader of any Sparkteams and never have been, I would probably need some instructions or suggestions.

I have been on Spark since 2006.
