It is dark and drizzly here in Maine. It took until 7pm for me to get motivated, but I DID IT!!! At that, I resisted the temptation to go get a small fry instead.

W1D1 for me...woke up at 6:00 a.m. to get on the treadmill before the kiddos woke up. I am not going to say it was easy, because it wasn't....but I DID IT! The satisfaction of knowing that I actually RAN this morning has stayed with me all day! I am anxious about keeping up with everyones progress. Keep up the good work!

Hiii! I bought some shoes. I got into a pair of workout clothes. And I downloaded the C25K interval trainer to my iPod.

I only got through 12 of 17 intervals in W1W1. My calves were burning off my legs. Is that normal? Is it something to work through or a warning sign that it's too much for me just yet? Just write me a Spark mail if ya have any advice and have worked through this yourself or just know by education. :)

But.. I got started! So in that sense, I DID IT!

I've just finished Week 2, and I'm enjoying it more than I was!! Today I took the time to upload my music from my iPod to the C25K app. That was the smartest decision I've made in a long while! Listening to my music made me walk and run faster. I found myself walking and running to the beats in the music and it distracted me from wondering how long do I have left on my run!

If you have an iPhone, I definitely recommend the C25K application. It truly makes the program easier hearing the voice tell you to warm up, run, walk, etc.

W1D3 is in the dust!! I cant believe I made it through a full week. I might not be running fast (only doing 3.5 on the treadmill for my run and 2.5 for the walk) but I am really doing it. And, as I get stronger, I will be able to move faster. I cant wait for that to happen. Happy running yall!

WOOHOO!!! I ran the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure yesterday in St. Louis!!! Out of 765 timed female runners, I came in at #678 w/ a time of 42:22 (13:40/mi). I feel like a winner, even if my time wasn't fast. I RAN my first 5K. My personal goals were no walking and no stopping, and I achieved both! It was an amazing experience and a very good cause as well.

woohoo! did my first official race today. it was a very hilly course but i still managed to RUN the ENTIRE thing and finished with a time of 30:48 and 6th place for my age group (20-29 with me at the end at 29yrs). not too shabby!!
