Week 9 day 3 done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Done the program!!! I can officially run for 30 minutes straight... BUT im still not doing the whole 5k, im sooo close, but not there yet. I have to try and run faster. Has anyone else finished the program but still not doing the full 5k in 30 mins?!!

Hi friends!!!!alarm rang...i shut it...before i knew it i had overslept...but still got in to my workout clothes..dropped my kid to school..was planning to go to the gym..when i realised my friend wanted to talk so chatted...well welll....came back home..finally with determination i put on my shoes and weent on the treadmill and succesfully completed W1D2...YEAH...I AM SOOO KICKED!!

I DID IT!!!!!! I ran my first 5K yesterday, didn't stop, and completed in 39 minutes. emoticon It was absolutely amazing. Check out my page for more.

Well we didn't run our first 5K (me and hubby James), we walked it but we did do the third workout of Week 1 for the last 15 minutes in a thunderstorm!! We got drenched to the skin. I wrote about it on my latest blog.. it was FUN.. but boy oh boy am I stiff today!

Ran my first 5k event yesterday. I was really proud of myself how far I ran at the beginning with the buzz of the support from the crowds but then I did have to walk a way. Myself and 3 friends completed it in 40 minutes and ran at least half of it. It gives me a time to work on to improve. Its my best time yet though. Can't believe how much fun it was and I am so proud of my medal. Can't wait to do another one.

JUST finished W1D1 which i thought impossible....yeah...i am soo excited and want to do it again but as suggested i will wait a day and do it again!!i think the iphone application was a great help!!

Ran my first "official" 5K today! Run was for ovarian cancer awareness, and completed in 33:31 (10:47 pace). Only the first of many more to come... C25K rocks!

I didn't do all that but today, I became a RUNNER! I ran 30 seconds, walked 90---for half an hour! It was HARD but I DID IT!! I'm going to make a blog about it, also my son took pics!I NEVER thought I'd ever be a RUNNER!!!

It's never too late to do what you should have done!

Participated in Hospital Hill in KC today. FInished in 50 minutes. I was hoping to do a little better, but at the same time, this is the hardest 5k I will do all year, so I did good!

Not quite there yet. I was planning to do day1 wk 9 today, but my husband called 21 minutes into run... I took the call, walked and talked for about 4 minutes then ran another 5...maybe Saturday...

Week 2 - day 2. With the short intervals, the time goes by so fast. Been training on the elliptical machine so far to decrease shock to knees and feet. Seems to be going well.

Completed W6D3 last night for the first time. I was feeling so good that once I got to the 25 min, I just kept on runnin'! I ran for 32 min, no stopping. SO PROUD!

I just did W1 D2......I am so proud of myself because I added extra time....I found I could do the 60 seconds of jogging but occasionally needed an extra 30-60 seconds recovery so I just took it! I ended up with 5 min brisk walking 30 minutes of intervals...and 5 minutes cool down...:)

HOT DAWG, I DID IT!!! I just did 1 mile on the treadmill doing run-walk, run-walk combo and then did 5 miles on the bike!!! I didn't even know I was still capable of running!!!

I did it...I downloaded the "4 weeks to 1 mile" and the "8 weeks to 5k" albums on my ipod today. I'm so excited to start working on this goal!!! I wanted to start today but Sunday is family time with mother in law. I will be starting tomorrow!!!

Not much to brag about but I DID IT!!!

I ran a 5K today. I am so excited. My time was 37 minutes. I did walk a little in the middle. I am not completely done with the c25k program.

I was crossing the finish line and my daughter was waiting for me a bottle of water. I could not stop smiling!!

Ran my 5k today. Yippee, stuck to it, did it, crossed the finish line. First race in a year and a half, so really was starting over again. Soooo happy to have crossed that finish line. I did not get to do the full c25k program, race date came too soon. I hope to keep going on the program and run another race in a few months. Great feeling to say: "I did it!"

W3d1 today, after 3 weeks off with a horrible chest cold. Seems a bit silly to be proud of 3 lousy minutes, but this cold really set me back so I'm glad to be back on track.
I'm still really only at the beginning because I'm going slow, trying to stay on top of a knee/hip/back problem. Physio says its going well...
Anyways... hooray for getting back at it!

I finally ran my fist ever 5K this morning it was hard but very proud of my self I only ever run 2 miles and today I did the 5K in 33 minutes. Bring on the next one baby. Loved it
