My favorite places locally for tea are House of Commons in Denver, The Huckleberry in Louisville, and The Dushanbe Tea House in Boulder. (Colorado)

I've been to high tea at the Four Seasons in Boston, and every time I go visit my parents on Cape Cod, I like to go to the Borsari Gallery and Tea Room in Dennis. When I studied abroad in London, I used to go to Camellia Tea House in Kingly Court on Carnaby Street whenever I could. I highly recommend them all.

You can also go to teamap.com on the internet.

It works a little better and it's more up to date than the app.

Last summer I was in London and we had tea and scones at Fortnum & Mason. It was very fancy, very expensive, and totally worth it!

What a nice tradition!

We have a few tea rooms around here, and a couple regular restaurants that serve High Tea one or two days a week. I used to go more when I had more friends who were more about tea than coffee, but now I occasionally go with my mom (and sister, when she's in town.)

Oh, any kind will do. We only have tea rooms around here...the kind that serve formal afternoon teas. We don't have any places that brew and serve tea unless you count somewhere like Star Bucks.

My friend and I decided a few years back to go to tea for our birthdays as our gift to each other. We use TeaMap to find tea rooms within a one hour drive from our town.

Time to brew a pot in anticipation of the winter storm we are to get...sigh...another 6-8 inches by morning. I'm just thankful our snow doesn't stick around long...melts away in a few days to a week.

When you say tea houses do you mean formal afternoon teas, or places whose main focus is serving tea? I've been to two of the latter here in Madison. One is in my neighborhood. It is so nice to get tea at such a place, rather than a coffeeshop, where the tea kind of tastes like the water came from the coffee machine...
Your Downton Abbey tea sounds like a lot of fun!!! My parents lived in Mechanicsburg for two years in the mid-70's. Pretty part of the country!
