Today I am at 190. It is Thanksgiving day. I am going to try to stay focused so I will be in the 180's in a few days and will move on to the 180ville's. It has been a long while since I have been there. I am truly looking forward to it. I just have to get thru a potluck dinner today. MA

I'm going to try and get on track this year! At least I haven't gained since the last time I weighed in. I went through some surgery back in August and had some minor complications. I'm feeling better now and hoping to be out of here by the end of January!

Good news from the scale scale today! I'm down this week to 188.2. I never thought I would see the end of 190-ville! I've been there for so long. I'm hoping to get to 170-ville in a while. Doesn't seem possible, but I have to tell you drinking the 8 cups of water a day has helped! I just added about 25 minutes of walking daily and just cutting back on my portions. I eat real food and haven't given up anything. My choices are healthy now so the sweet treats are kept at a very small if anything portion. Haven't given them up completely though! That would just be setting myself up to fail totally! Hope everyone is doing okay. This is not an easy thing to do--losing weight, but I'm determined!! Best wishes to everyone!

The scale said 189.8 this morning which is a slight up from last weeks 189.0. Not stressing over it since I'm taking it as a non scale victory. My legs are stronger from walking so I know I'm making progress! The weight will go!

I'm still in shock! I'm at 189.0!
I am such a skeptic that drinking water helps you lose weight but I have been proven wrong in my thinking. It does work! I've been drinking 8 cups of water every day this week and getting out for my mile walk. I had to get on the scale twice to prove I was seeing what I was!
Not leaving the team. Hanging around to cheer the rest of you on so we can all leave together!

Got on the scale this morning and was so pleased to see my hard work paid off! I had gained a pound which I didn't post on my tracker so I started at 195 and am now down to 193.6! Small loss, but any loss is a good thing ; )

I think I need a new scale. I got mine out today and noticed it didn't work right again. I almost have to jump on it to get it to start. The battery is new so it's not that. It is kind of old so may be in need of replacing. My weight was up which can't be right since I've eaten less than the last week! Can guarantee you it's not muscle weight. What ever. Still going to keep on trying to do the right thing. If I get to the store I'm getting a new scale and will go with whatever it says next week. Who knows; my last week weigh in could have been wrong. Not letting it bother me.

So happy for you getting so close to 180-ville. I hope to be there before too long. I can relate to telling your husband about nutrition in what you eat. Men seem to just eat without even thinking of what they are putting in their mouths ; ) I've been trying to do better and will find out if it has helped on Monday. Good luck to you!

Watching what I'm eating with a big focus on nutrition. Hub laughs when I tell him what each food I'm eating is good for but I know a part of him is keeping notes too. emoticon

Got on the scales this morning. My very official weight is: 194.8. When I weighed myself the other day I was 195.2------well, any loss is a loss, right??? : )
Going to try to get off 2 pounds this week. I know just eating right will help. No more mindless grazing!! So far so good today.

I've lost 8 lbs. since January 7, when I promised myself I was going to start going down instead of up. We winter in AZ, and all of the potlucks and Happy Hours really do a number on me, even though I walk about 3 miles most days. I decided to kick wheat products to the curb when we got home, a month ago, and I think that has really helped. After reading Dr. William Davis's book, 'Wheat Belly', I was convinced that modern wheat isn't healthy for us. Learning a new way of cooking has been a challenge, but I already feel better, which tells me it's the right thing to do.

I'll stick with Mondays (since I lost today - lol) now 194.
I refuse to get upset at the SLOWNESS of loss but continue sticking to my goals and waiting for my body to catch up.

Take a look at your schedule and decide what weekly day will be your "OFFICIAL WEIGH IN" day to LOG your weight changes, up, down or stay the same.

We all need AWARENESS and ACCOUNTABILITY.

My WEIGH IN Day is TUESDAY so I will post then. Let's Encourage each other with our UPS and DOWNS!
