My number on the scale hasn't moved at all. However, my pants are definitely looser and my face looks thinner. I've been walking a lot. I splurged on a Fitbit and it really has motivated me to get off my butt. I find myself "pacing" in front of the T.V. at night just to get some extra steps in.
My biggest problem still is strength training. I really need to buckle down and just do it. I am in the middle of another squat challenge. It's a 30 day challenge and I'm doing it with my walking buddy. I was able to do 150 squats today all in one set without stopping. My legs were like jello when I was done but I did it.

I am still doing kettle bell workouts. I'm amazed at how many muscles just the swing workout hits!
It's time to do an assessment of your progress. Is it time for you to buy new clothes? yes, we are the 'Look Better Naked' group but we can't run around outside without clothes. You are most likely keeping track of your weight loss through the number on the scale. But continuing to wear the same old 'fat clothes' you've owned for what seems like forever might be doing more harm than good. Why? It might encourage you to think, 'well, if I do gain back the weight I still have something to wear.' I think that is encouraging a person to give up. Those old clothes are offering a safety net, so-to-speak. You might be shy about showing off your new, hotter bod. Go easy. you don;t have to wear skin tight clingy clothes but a new top or new pants can go a long way to boosting your confidence, and hopefully, your workouts. Baggy clothes don;t make you look better, they just make you look sloppy. Give yourself a confidence boost and go shopping. You never know what can happen until you try.

We have been watching, American Ninja Warrior lately. These people are SO fit! It's inspiring. I live near Manitou Springs and there is this thing called the Incline. It used to be tracks for a cog rail way. The metal tracks were torn down and the big wooden timbers were left behind. They make great steps for hiking. You go up 2k feet from bottom to top. It's hard. I have not done it. I would like to some day but not sure how my knees would do on the sharp angle and steep grade.

First a comment on last weeks workout. I liked that one. It started off fairly easy but towards the end it got a bit harder. Still didn't make it all the way through it since I have coordination problems but I try.

It's a training program created by a powerlifter, Brandon Lilly. It is a 10-week program, consisting of 3 separate training sessions per 3 week block (per movement). The 4th training day each week is for assistance work/bodybuilding style work to address weaknesses. I also do some Oly lifting on that day. Each exercise has a reps session, a speed or explosive session, and a heavy session. There is only one heavy session per week, so each week of the three week mesocycle is different:

Week 1
Deadlift Reps
Bench Heavy
Squat Explosive

Week 2
Deadlift Explosive
Bench Reps
Squat Heavy

Week 3
Deadlift Heavy
Bench Explosive
Squat Reps

And so on, rotating each 3 week cycle, until you wrap up with week 10 of PR attempts.

I don't know. I think the spark workout trackers are a bit off. Plus, they don't let you do halvies on workouts.
As much as I end up panting and sweating, I usually just mark it as a whole workout if I do record it.

I have a pinched nerve in my neck. Hopefully it is better tomorrow. I really want to try this one. I have a friend that comes over on Fridays and we workout. I made it half way through an 18 min. workout this morning. Will do the rest later today. If you cannot get through an entire workout all at once, break it down into manageable portions and do what you can each time until you become strong enough to do a whole workout. Slow and steady wins the race.

No target near me. Closest one is and hour and a half away. I don't live near any major stores. My town does have a family dollar and a rite aide but they don't have them at either place.

always wondered about kettlebells. What sizes do they come in?

Final weight goal of 140 pounds & maintain my fitness with excellent blood sugar management.

That video feed has a few kettle bell workouts. I just think it's pretty good because it works out several muscle groups all at once and in about 20 minutes or so which means I'm not spending tons of time working out but still enjoying the results.
Let me know how you like it when you get the kettle bell & can try it.

Looks like a great workout. I really need to invest in a kettle bell. I'm might have to get one on my next Walmart trip...Unfortunately that's not until a week from Saturday. I live in a very rural area and the closest Walmart is 45 minutes away.
I will definitely bookmark this workout so I can try it when I get one.

**The sit-ups will be a challenge but great fro my abs***

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: one kettle bell at least 10 pounds. You can go as low as 8 if you really need to but try to go with the 10lb ladies. Guys I better not see you with a 10lb anything! 15+ at least.

Hello everyone.
To help us all 'Look Better Naked' I have decided to post a weekly workout. It is up to you to decide if you want to do it or not but I thought it would help those of us who might be stuck in a workout rut to have something fresh on our workout schedule every week.
All workouts can be done at home with a minimal investment in equipment. If you buy a coffee at a coffee shop every day and give that up for a couple days, you can work up to purchasing a few small pieces of equipment for weight lifting at home. Such as; kettle bells, hand weights, weighted bar bells (a bit pricier), or medicine balls.
