I don't fight but instead breathe through it !!

Relaxing rising tension is best for me by what I playfully call "smoking air".
Those slow drags of just oxygen (minus poison delivery of course) can work wonders.

As long as I learn that my body wants the slow gentle inhales of what I SHOULD breathe in,
my mind won't lock up and I can think
"What is the next right thing" to choose?"

I listen to see if I'm hungry, angry, tired.... and a walk, or water, or making a support call to another nicotine addict in recovery themselves, or a zoom meeting... choices narrow down to the next right thing, and the next, and the smoking air is always a repeat soother.

I've practiced my own recovery successfully, one day at a time through service participation in nicotine-anonymous.org
