I'm tell'n you.. I am now reading Dr. David Jeremiah's book, What In The World Is Going On ... man...it's really super good. I hope everyone will get a copy and read and pass along to others. So many people don't have a clue what's going on right under their noses.
Jesus is coming SOON !! WHOOHOOOO !! He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit sayeth unto the churches to him that overcometh will I give to eat, the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

I watch David each Sunday while getting ready to go to my church. I have been to his church and it is quite dynamic. Would go more but it is a longer drive than I would like to do.

No, I haven't heard of Joel Rosenberg, but.. I have read John Hagge's books and listen to Hal Lindsey and currently reading, Dr. David Jeremiah's book... What In The World Is Going ON ~ Real eye opener. Yes definitely the Lord is coming for HIS people soon. I see it in the news everyday, just more and more signs. If this country doesn't get back to God, HIs ways and protecting Israel, we can expect more disasters. Be ready for the flight, it will be in a twinkling of an eye ~ emoticon

Have you ever read any of Joel Rosenberg's books? He is good and really lets you know what all is going on and how they may be pointing to the rapture coming soon! OH how I pray so.

Parafeast,
I agree 100% on the Fox news. Too bad more people don't watch it, because it tells you all the things the main stream liberal media fails to report.
I just shared alot of info with my new hairdresser today and she was shocked at all the things she didn't know. That reminds me.. I gotta go send her some links to some websites~
Have a blessed day.

Hi Nancy, I also have a clothes line. It is not very long as live in a mobile home park. I will often use it to dry undergarments and non permanent press clothing. There are sets of large ones up by our communal laundry facilities which are used a lot. We have ours on site as husband built an extra room to place them in. In California there are many parks and condo associations that do not allow using clothes lines. Never quite got that.

I have a clothes line and wanted to hang out today but dh said it was too hot! We've been in excessive heat warnings for a few days now. It's to break tonight or tomorrow!! PTL. So I still hang out. I enjoy the smell and I feel it saves money plus helps the environment. My kids wouldn't hear of it.
Enjoy the rest of today and weekend.

Nancy: You are fortunate to be in PA. That is where Mother Bea was in the Nursing Home. It was not pricey at all but she had impeccable care & extremely happy staff all the time. The state of PA takes very good care of their elderly.
July 3rd will be 1 yr since we lost her & stopped going to PA for my monthly visit. She sure did enjoy her final 13 months in the non-profit County home we found for her thru the Agency on Aging.
The only thing we provided was her clothing, hearing aids & dentures. She was hospitalized 3-4 x's, but all of her bills (medical or otherwise) were pd by the home with her Social Security funds they rec'd directly. Medicare & Medicaid also pitched in.
Oh yea, we put $ on her account for the hair & nail salons they had on site as well as the snack bar. Haircuts were $7., Perms were $15. & a Manicure w toe nail trim was $5. Toasted Cheese or PB&J Sandwich 1.10, Bowl of Soup .59, Doughnut .30! She was my Mother-in-Law & worth the 1350 miles I traveled every 3 wks to see her.
Hubby & I have actually considered retiring in PA so we get that kind of care! We cannot take the cold winters though so it is just chatter. We do love your spring & summers though & fall is gorgeous to visit also.

Cheer up Sadie!!!

Hi all!

I live in western PA...close to Ohio....farming area...die-hard STEELER fan!.... tough as nails..and live on a zoo...no I mean farm...hehehe

Yes the non-profit nursing homes are best...but generally quite pricey too. You have to check into that.

You folks lead such colorful fun lives..... I make hay....LOL!!!! Keep having fun... I'll keep driving my tractor! ((((HUGS))))

CA Ann: We learned with Mother Bea to go with non-profit nursing homes. They don't cut staff, food, drugs, activities to save money. I am so glad you are getting this all on record thru the state. My prayers continue for your strength & Jim's comfort.

NY Jackie: Great to see you as always. I added my location to my signature as per your request. Sry I didn't catch that request in the past. YES you can come to water aerobics - bring some healthy halibut!! How fun to volunteer at the zoo! What do you do there?
I don't know if Farrah Fawcett was in touch with the Lord, but saw parts of her documentary released last week & got the feeling she was. What a week with Michael Jackson & Ed McMahon also passing on. Ages 50, 62 & 86. Makes me stop & think.

Always good to see you KS Para & CA Betty Ann!
Big Sur sure is spectacular. My Hubby's reserve unit was activated for Desert Storm & spent 3 months in Monterey - felt so sorry for him! NOT!! Carmel & the St. Lucia Mntns are wonderful too. The kids & I lived further south & went to San Juan Capistrano for weekly services as part of the Desert Prayer program Robert Schuller & Dan Quayle launched at the Crystal Cathedral.
All of Hwy 1 was breathtaking. My favorite work commute was a 10-mile stretch along the Pacific from our home in Fountain Valley to Seal Beach. I taught Yoga & Water Aerobics at a Spa & Fitness Club for women that was right next to the pier.
I loved living near the Redwoods too. John Muir Woods (just off the Golden Gate Bridge)was a favorite park we frequented as well as Big Basin Redwoods State Park between San Jose & Santa Cruz. Fun train ride too!
Thanks for sparking such fond memories!!!

Here is one of the California ones saying aye. We live is a good sized state with such a multiple of climates and so much beauty to see, (we are not only Disneyland) that a lot of traveling is going on. We live at the bottom of the state which is really nice but up north you get to see the Redwoods and much more lakes and rivers than we have down here. And a much cooler climate. A drive through the Big Sur can leave you speechless with the grandeur you see there.
I think it is wonderful that you volunteer at your zoo. What is that like?
It must be exciting to live in NYC. I am there by television each New Years Eve watching the ball come down. A tradition I have here. Glad it happens at nine our time or would never get to see it.

So you are from NYC. I guess being from Phila, we were kind of close. I've been to New York a few times. Enjoyed seeing "Liberty". Though lots of times I saw it from the New Jersey side, less traffic. Every time I go back I am always surprised how much traffic there is. Though some days out here there seems like a lot too.
Have a wonderful day!

First you don’t hear from me for four days and then I get on and run my mouth ad infinitum.

Talk is cheap but at the risk of being cheap, I’ll keep going…

Church on Wednesday night (we had a visiting group staying in the building) yes, we do that here.
Took DH (Jim) to the knee doctor yesterday (that took up the morning and then when I got back I didn’t feel like doing anything but I fixed halibut for dinner and I really should use another recipe.

Today we need to get some errands done (like buy food and get out before the Friday traffic out of the City gets really bad)

Tomorrow we will be joining a friend who is celebrating her 90th birthday. All of Jim’s family will be returning to the City for it. Imagine that they will come from Hampton, VA to be a part of the party. It will be nice. But I will be charging out of that party to see a friend’s daughter at a baby shower being held at our church … at least I want to try and do that since I won’t see her for the rest of the summer. She (the young lady I would like to see) is going through a rough time and I want to remind her of God’s love with a hug. My schedule tires Jim out… I wonder why.

Wow!!!

I just read a few of these posts and it’s been too long since I’ve read them… but then again I got home and tried to pick up where we left off.

Ann, I’m so sorry about your brother. I’ll keep praying for you and him.

Missy, my dad is from New Orleans (the Big Easy). A family of 12 children… My aunt is 92 and live in San Francisco and the rest are spread out to Chicago, Maryland and Virginia. Yes, they don’t meet if they can eat.

Cheri, tell your hubby that I can relate to the dental thing I have to make an appointment for cleaning… ugh. I know I have to get it done but I just would rather not sometimes. Then I remember that I want my teeth to carry me a long way so I’ll call for the appointment later today. I do praise God that a root canal is not in the forecast. (from my lips to God’s ears)

Uhm, would all the Californians say aye! You guys are really close to each other compared to me and you. Nice to know that you have a clue about your state... I can’t be questioned too much about New York state I live in the City and… well everything is relative. We can actually live in your neighborhood and never go more than 20 blocks and have everything you want right around you. Scary, huh?

Well I volunteered at the Central Park Zoo, does that count for zoo worthiniess (just catching up on the posts is all)

Water aerobics, oh Tazzie… can I come?

Thanks for the reminder about the team map. I’ve never visited it. When I first came to SP I would get confused with all the stuff that was available. Now I just ask the ladies on the team to put where they are from right under their name in the signature part… that way I don’t have to sign my name every time I have a post … who cares, right. I’m over it.

So Paraeast, you are no longer in PA and I go through it fairly regularly. Ahw.

Does anyone know if Farrah Fawcett was a Christian?

Hi Ladies,
I haven’t read anything… I just want you to know that I am alive and the doing is sometimes well and sometimes not.

I redid my weight after the doctor gave me “what for” because I missed seeing her last year and gained 13 pounds in the process… oh dear

When I went in to change my weight last time it raised my calories. I should have changed when I noticed it… duh

So here I am starting again with the basics from the first month of SP in 2006… you can forget a lot when you start taking the food intake for granted

Ok… I’ll read later

Just chatted with Clarice on the Spark IM – it was nice… but it may be the reason I get frustrated with the slow speed on the site.

Enough complaining and everyone have a great day

Today has been one of those very trying days. I called the lady who supposedly oversee's the adminitrator at the home where Jim is. She was supposed to call me yesterday after the meeting with the owners but didn't. The first person I spoke with on the phone obviously didn't know correct phone etiquette as he didn't ask to take a message when the lady I called for wasn't available. Then he kept talking over me and didn't get my phone number right. When I asked him to stop talking over me he began yelling like he thought I couldn't hear him. I asked him to stop yelling at me. He finally got my number correct and said the person I wanted to speak with should call back in about 10 minutes. She didn't. I called again about an hour later. She said the meeting ended too late yesterday to call me. I asked why she hadn't called me today (it was late afternoon when I called) and she said she was working on the payroll. I chalked that up as just an excuse for not calling me. I told her about the person yelling at me and she said, "oh, that's not good." Then she said their phones aren't working right. I decided to let that one go and ask about the meeting. She said they would be keeping an eye on things and then asked me if Jim had returned to the home. I told her that if she was really keeping an eye on things she would know and asked why she hadn't checked on what was going on with him. Her next comment was that they (the staff) couldn't please me so there was no need to have further conversation. I told her I would be contacting the state. She told me to do what I felt I needed to.

Then early this evening I got a call from the home asking me to talk to my brother because he was asking for more food. When Jim got on the phone I asked what he had for dinner. He was given potato salad, egg salad and one slice of a beet. I also asked about his blood sugar being over 500 night before last and his refusing to go to the hospital. He said it was only there for a couple of hours. I immediately told him that was way too high, that he could have gone into a diabetic coma. I then asked to speak to the person who called me. I asked what foods were on the menu for today. She said she just came on at 4 and wasn't around for meals earlier in the day. I told her I knew they had to post the daily menus, state law required it so she could read the menu. When she did it was mostly starches and high fat foods, also foods high in sodium. I told her that kind of menu was not good for anyone with high blood pressure or diabetes to which she said she couldn't do anything about the food being served but that Jim needed to stop asking for more food. I told her he was hungry, that they needed to feed him more vegetables and some meat (there was not meat on the menu today). She again said she couldn't do anything about what was served. I told her that Jim certainly was not the only one with diabetes or high blood pressure and that the way they were feeding the people there would end up killing someone. Her comment was "I hope not." I told her I realized she could not change the menu but that Jim was hungry and needed to be fed foods that would fill him up but not be detrimental to his health.

Tomorrow I am going to call the ombudsman and probably social services also. That home is really putting people's lives in jeopardy.

Farrah Fawcett wasn't a shock to me. She has been very sick for 3 yrs. & recently released her documentary on the final days of her life. She was an Earth Angel, but was ready to go & is at peace with the Angels in Heaven now.

You should try it some time as a LOT of news, ABC, NBC and CBS are slanted. Once you watch the fox cable you will like it. I enjoy the Fox and Friends in the morning during the week and then O'Reilly, Hannity and even Greta in the eve. I may watch the other news to catch the weather then it's back to fox cable.

Our pastor will sometimes refer to Fox News and just this last Sunday a good friend was telling me about meeting someone from there but I did not get the name. Wonder if it is the same person. If I can remember, I will have to ask her. I did find where it is on my cable network but have not had time to look at it yet.

Dick Morris is on Fox News Cable. He's not a Christian but a conservative speaker or such. He wrote "Catastrophe." It's suppose to be about what is going on in our country with Obama. I just think it might be interesting. Bill O'Reilly has him on and Hannity too. I watch a LOT of Fox cable news. It's not slanted like the media news is.

I was at the doctors office when the staff told us they had just heard it. I am just a tad down the road from LA. About two and a half hour drive. We call that a tad here in CA.

Yes I have read Karen Kingsbury and agree with you. She is a wonderful author who really gets you involved in her stories in a deep way. I get most of my books from garage sales but my church also has a well stocked library. We also have a public library not to far from us that has lots of Christian books. I have not heard of Dick Morris.

It is very pretty there. My folks are in Calvary Homes, which is a Christian retirement village. They have their own house.
Yes, I've read Beverly Lewis books. She is good. MY favorite author is Karen Kingsbury, have you read any of hers? Thank goodness we get a LOT of Christian books at our public library I enjoy reading them. I do have on hold Dick Morris' new book and know he's probably not a Christian but has very conservative views. I am hearing a LOT about the book so I hope it's good.

A Team Map identifies where members of the team are from.
- You can find it by clicking on the Underlined Team Name - right at the top of this page.
- That will take you to the Team's Home Page
- Scroll to the bottom & click on "TEAM MAP"
(It takes a minute to load, but will show a pushpin for each member.

You are not alone Phyllus. I grew up in PA & have lived in the south & west as you said. SC & GA were Paradise & ecstacy for us, Southern Cal put us in 7th Heaven & we were on Cloud 9 in Northern Cal (the Bay Area! However; we have been in the mid-west (Northern TX)for almost 5 yrs & lived here for 13 months back in 1997 too.

My hubby's job has given us wonderful opportunities to experience some of the greatest spots in the nation. Fortunately we love adventure & our kids have great appreciation for the variety of lifestyles & cultures we have exposed them to over the past 30+ yrs.

I have 3 sisters still living in PA, 1 in DE, 1 in MO & 1 in FL + 2 brothers in CA, so we all get around. They are all more grounded than I am & have been establishing their roots for yrs whereas we tend to uproot ourselves in order to leave our footprints in new places!

It is wonderful to have this team full of folks from all over the USA & Canada & Spain & ??? Look at the Team Map & you will see the majority are from the NorthEast USA!

I have a dear friend who also teaches water aerobics. I have taken that class off and on through the years and it is by far my favorite form of exercise. The pool at the gym that is near our home is only set up for lap swimming so I get in there and do what I remember from my classes.
I am pleased that you have been able to visit our zoo. It has gone through many changes through the years which has made it even better.

Sadie, Getting around such a large area as our zoo can be very hard. They do have the tour buses but they also provide a service we just found out about. They use small vans which will take you anywhere in the zoo you want to visit and you call a number and they will come and pick you up. I think this is a provision for the handicapped who would have a harder time using the buses. We loved it and will be using it again the next time we go. It was really neat being able to visit the places that are our favorites in the zoo.

Sandy, I am so glad you were kept safe through the storm in your area along with the other people. I have a friend in Georgia who was out pulling a horse trailer when those violent winds hit. She sat in the cab of that trailer and watched things flying all around her but she and her horses remained unhurt.
I am sorry you came all the way to San Diego during the fires and had to miss visiting our wonderful zoo. We live in one of those areas the fires hit and had to leave out home for about a week. It as very hard to not know from day to day if your home was still standing. And the skies had that very eire look to them. We did not lose our home but the destruction right near us was so devastating to see. Many of us are still feeling the effects of those fires in emotional ways.
When you speak of riding a wagon, I think you are referring to the Wild Animal Park which is part of the zoo but in a separate location. The Flamingos and the Koalas would be in the zoo right in town. Our kids grew up attending summer school sessions at the Zoo which really enriched their lives.

Hello Ladies,

DH and I just got back from a quick trip to Texas. We were in Dallas, Sugarland (think Houston), College Station, and out in the country near Thrall, which is north and east from Austin. We visited children and grandchildren and learned the adventures of our always been city children who bought 5 acres in the country.

I have been to the San Diego Zoo in 1963 and was back in San Diego several years ago when the big fire was burning around it. We spent our "zoo" day in the motel watching ash and smoke so thick we could only see a little red spot for the sun. I do remember having a wonderful time in 63. We rode a wagon with a tour guide who fed some of the animals and talked about them. I especially remember pink flamingos and koalas.

I'm praising God that I am feeling like myself again.
Thanks to all who prayed for my health.

I don't live in Ohio, but am definitely a midwesterner. I have lived in Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and now in eastern Kansas.

In seven days we're off to Arizona for a granddaughter's wedding. We plan to return through Colorado with a couple of sightseeing stops.

I hope all of you are having a great summer without storms or earthquakes! Our little home town of Drexel, MO, made the national news 10 days ago when they were hit by a violent wind storm and rain. About 40% of the homes had damage, but no one was injured. Rural areas were damaged as well. One lady and her child were in their mobile home when the storm rolled it over like a tumbleweed. They were only bruised and scraped! We were caught in the north edge of the storm driving. I have never seen so much lightning, then the rain and wind. We had to stop because we couldn't see the lines on the road. I had prayed for travel protection and certainly that prayer was answered!

Blessings to all,
Sandy667

Sandy

Since so many people in California are transplants I would guess that you would find some who started out their lives in Ohio. I started mine in Massachusetts. I had no intention of ever leaving there but married a wander lust kind of guy and he had visited the west and talked me into giving it a try. And now I am glad he did as we really like living on this side of the country. There are still things we miss from the East, such as soft water. lakes to swim in, such deep green in all the plants, fabulous fall colors (we do have nice ones but not quite like the east) and others things I cannot think of right now.

Good Morning Gals:
Memories of the San Diego Zoo are a fun way to wake up! I only had the opportunity to go once and it was a magnificent zoo.

You are so blessed to be that near to your brother Ann and he is blessed to have you watching out for him too.

Amen Nancy!
'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Enjoy the heat & come on down to Texas if you want more! We are overflowing thermometers these days!

I am enjoying the looong days - in spite of the extreme heat & teaching another water aerobics class tonight for a few friends.

Hope your Hubby is better Cheri.
Headed out for a morning prayer walk & just wanted to stop in to see if any new requests popped up.
Blessings to all.

Cheri--Your poor husband! Toothaches are horrible. Hope the antibiotics work quickly.

Tazzie---as Sadie said, I live in California, in Pasadena and my brother lives about 3 miles northwest of me. Not all homes are like the one my brother is in. Some actually have people who care about the residents.

We keep up our membership for the zoo even though we don't get down there as often as we wish. We plan on going down next week for a members night only, to see the new summer nights shows. If you ever get down this way to go to the zoo, do see if you can stay for the night shows.

We lived in Orange County & were members of The Crystal Cathedral - back when Dr. Robert Schuller was the Pastor. Then we moved to the Bay Area for 7 years. Earthquakes are bad, but I agree that tornadoes & hurricanes are most often more devastating.

Riverside is a nice City. That is the first place we lived in when we moved to California. I went to Riverside City College and I think the church was called Magnolia Avenue Baptist we attended. Husbands job took us to another city but have so many happy memories of living there and I think earthquakes are better any day than tornadoes.

Cheri, your husband remains in my prayers. I've had that pain and know it is horrid. Even with dental insurance, root canals and crowns put a hurting on a budget. I'm praying for God to provide all the comfort and resources needed to get this problem fixed for your family.

Dental procedures can be rough. I think having to go to a dentist is my least favorite thing.
we are also having high humidity for weeks now which is quite rare for the area we live in. My husband has asthma so is not doing well with it at all. With all the weather changes I hope humidity is not something we will now have to contend with. Makes it harder to get out and do any walking or even garnering.

Ann,

Hope everything goes well, praying for a spirit of peace over the relationship between you and the home(even amongst all of the goings on!), and that they would "step up to the plate" and give the care that they should!

Very hot and humid today. DH home again today, still in pain with his tooth, had a really bad night 2 nights in a row--feeling a little relief today with the antibiotics. Hopefully it will be MUCH better soon! He has to wait for the infection to clear, finish getting the root out, and then get the crown put on...

Hope everyone is well, and can stay cool!!

Cheri

Jackie---It looks like you are enjoying your visit with friends and food and family and food and ummmm....more food. Hmmm...guess I shouldn't rub it in...not nice...sorry. It seems like whenever family and friends get together there is always food and more food. Hope you get a good report when you go to the doctor. Praying for your hubby's decision about his knee.

My brother called early this morning to tell me he was be released from the hospital. Interestingly, the home called and left a message this afternoon that he would be released today. I most likely knew before they did but at least they did call. I told Jim to let me know how things went once he was back. I will be visiting him the end of the week hopefully.

Rollerskate, sounds like you could be from New Orleans with all that food! lol Food is a way of life for us down here. Nothing, but NOTHING takes place without food being the center of it all. Richard Simmons is from here, too, and I love one of his quotes: New Orleans is the gravy capital of the world. lol May the Lord lead and guide your husband in his knee decisions, watch over him, and protect him by divine grace.

Hi Ladies,

It’s Monday and I’m still in Baltimore at my parents’ home. We decided to stay another day and leave tomorrow.

It was a full weekend. On Thursday I took Jim to the Dr to get another shot for his knee and by the time the day was finished, I was as well.

Jim is rethinking his options for his knees… I can’t help with his decision, I just get to stick by him when he makes it.

Father’s Day was filled with stop-ins and food, and good weather (no rain), and food, and friends coming by and food. Did I say food? Right…Now let’s just see. There we food and friends and food and family and food. Is anybody getting this?

We’ll head home tomorrow and I get to have a physical on Wednesday. I would love to have these last 10 pounds off but… then there was food. Ok, ok, ok, I’m over it.

Hey Maestro, welcome and don’t let the posts swim your head. We’re women who respond. I think that’s another word for talkative. I’m sure someone can come up with a more descriptive term.

Ladies, it’s getting late and I really need my beauty sleep (no comments please).

G’ Night all

I do not know what state you live in but here in California, things are really a mess. We had been receiving a state supplementary program which helped us with some extra income besides our Social Security. One day out of the blue we were informed we were now off that program. It was double hard as it also had been paying part of our medical costs. Now it was time to head for the Dept of Social Services and see what it all meant. Seems like many like us, lost that program. So they had to bring in one worker for our area just to take care of all of us. They did offer an alternative program but it was three months of visits to that office with tons of paper work, until we got the ok that we did qualify for it. The poor folks at that office are so overwhelmed already with the new requests coming in for the general population and then to add all us seniors, I can just imagine the stress on them. But, at no time did they speak to us unkindly and tried their best to make it as painless as possible. Thank you for being part of those whose aim is to help people when things happen that they really had no control over.

Thank you Phillus. I am staying on top of things with my brother. Today, while visiting him in the hospital, a friend of his from the home was there also. She said the staff at the home have been saying that I am difficult to get along with. They don't like me but then that isn't my concern. I am only trying to get them to do the job they are supposed to do. They don't have to like me. I am supposed to hear from the administrator's boss Wednesday after she has met with the owners of the facility. She said she has to report all incidents to the owners. I don't know when my brother will be released from the hospital but once he returns to the home I will be keeping a close watch on things.

Church went well this morning, Pastor on vacation, got the Father's Day gifts all passed out....poor DH has a really bad jaw ache....thinks his tooth's nerve is acting up...already asleep for the afternoon. I will be leaving soon to go honor my father at his house.. I am the oldest of 8 in the family, so there will be lots of fun/people! DD is celebrating at her in-laws.

Trying to talk DH into staying home tomorrow, no one else is at church so it would make no difference if I went in late after getting him to the dentist....he is balking at taking a sick day.

NAESTRO3, Welcome!

This is a loving group of ladies, Support, motivating, and praying ladies I've ever meet. I have been on both sides praying and prayer request and God does hear these ladies.
Nancy, Sounds your father sounds like mine always telling stories of the childhood some bad and some fun. some good. I know when he passed he had so many come out, and he always said he would have many at his funeral I wish he could of seen them all on that day he'd been so greatful. I loved to hear his stories again. A Happy Fathers Day to all of your dad's! Have a blessed day!

Nancy---Happy birthday to your father! Strawberry shortcake sounds so yummy! Enjoy it but don't eat too much.

Something happened with my brother this morning. I called him around 10 and he sounded very incoherent. He couldn't answer my questions and his speech was very slurred. I hung up and called the nurse's station. They checked on him and it turned out his blood sugar was over 500. They had changed his insulin to a slow acting one but his body had not adapted to it yet so they gave him a dose of a different insulin to bring his blood sugar down. When I called again an hour later he was doing much better. It is a good thing I called when I did because the nurse wasn't supposed to check Jim again until just before 12. Jim had thought he was going to be released today but they are going to keep him for several more days.
