Good morning, LINDA on this "fun" Friday 25 October 2019.

Bought gas at Costco yesterday and paid $2.32.9 for regular gas in Danvers, Mass. Bought gas last week in Saratoga Springs, New York and paid $2.63.9.

Yes, we love our pigs. We typically eat more pork than anything, but I'm low on pork, for some reason my girls just aren't having any babies. Maybe time for some new girls, or maybe a new boy.

things here are well. Looking at purchasing some Painted Desert Sheep. They are a hair sheep, so not sheering.

Spun 50, 10 and 20. Good day to spin.

I delivered 1000 pounds of dirt, being sold by the local FFA. I had to lift it all out of the van, (it was in 50 pound bags) and then put it on a wagon. After the wagon was put near where the dirt was to be put. I then dumped the dirt. Yes I'm too nice. And boy am I tired.

We were conversing about pigs last year at this time. And this year you re having a cow butchered and ducks too. Are pigs still in the picture at the farm?

Today is Sunday, 3 March 2019.

I am going back into the internet and check out the gestation period for sows. I need to be more enlightened, I guess! Interesting. I probably knew this stuff when I was working on the farm as a young man but I forgot.

I went back and here I am about an hour later - Swine gestation - 114 days - three months and three weeks and three days. (and could be two days early or two days late). BUT you knew that already!

She's doing better. I'm sure it was a premature labor. And a week early when you are only pregnant 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days is a lot.

In polite company I only have two other phrases "dumb cows" (Noah reminds me with his speech impediment that it's "sows") and bacon seeds.

Weave some Yorkshire blood in our mix. Yorkshires grow fast but I'm not impressed with their bacon

LINDA, I was spending time looking up words that associated with Pigs/hogs and I came up with gilt, swine, sow, boar, shoat, and piglets.

It was interesting to find that a shoat was a young female before she farrows at about ten months . You just had a young female pig that lost all of her piglets. How has that pig done since that happened?

Do you Have any other words in your vocabulary that refers to this swine family of animals. Do you have Yorkshire swines?
