Yes, the plans I have seen are for 2 or 3 days, but we don't hike that fast! However, I'm beginning to think it's best to listen to those who have gone before. :)

I'm afraid I've never heard of it, but backpacking can be very challenging and so rewarding, have a great time!

I've never been there myself but it sounds fantastic! I've read of people doing it in 2-3 days so if you have 5-6 days to cover it, you should have a marvelous time and have amazing views. Good luck!

So some of my friends and I are doing the Triple Crown in Virginia this June. Has anyone here taken that hike? We are going for 5-6 days and wonder how long your trip was and how you broke it up. North Ridge Trail section presents a bit of a challenge. :) Anyone? emoticon
