my daughters were lifeguards at the local YMCA and so I got a free membership a few years ago. I never ever went to a gym - but thought the price was right so I started to go. I started with group classes - and loved it. I started with a simple exercise class........... In no time I was going 4 times per week. I did that for at least 2 years................ until one day I ventured into the real gym where the guys worked out. Weights - machines etc.................... and I started walking slowly on the treadmill and watching everyone else. Little by little I started trying things................... and now Im a real gym rat.

SO - yes - go join a gym while you are there and try it. Start slow - watch others - and challenge yoursle f little by little.

Hi - I'll be spending the summer in Bergen County. My willpower is... not so great when it comes to being active. I love yoga and think I need to be a part of a class. Do you recommend joining a gym for two months so I'll have regular access to classes? Any other ideas?
