Im enoying the warm fall........................ I am babysitting a friends 5 month old chocolate lab puppy - what a bundle of energy. Its been keeping me home - so Im getting alot of packing and sorting and donating done................. and we are doing about 4 walks per day just to tire her out. Thats a good thing too.

Hey! Hey! Glad to see everyone is doing good. 5% Challenge is keeping me busy. Finally, started my part-time job at Bottom Dollar Food Supermarket, as a cashier. I actually like it. Was really hired as a front-end assistant, but they over hired people, so, I have been doing cashier instead. Not a problem. Less responsibility.

Will be doing Grandma duty on Friday, while my DS and DIL go to an adult only wedding. Loving the fall colors!

I agree, my body tends to get comfy at certain weights and it takes a lot of crazy effort to get it to go lower! I seem to be very comfy around 165 right now, and every once in awhile I can get it down to 159, but it is hard to keep it there! Of course, my eating habits are not so great!

pleasantly surprised that while bad behavior nets weight gain - with a week of good behavior that extra weight slid right off. Guess it really was extra weight.

Im starting to think that we have a "normal weight" to go lower - takes lots of work -----------
when you start to go higher because you;ve slacked off eating poorly and not exercising - once you start back up with the good habits - losing is not so very difficult - if its been a short term slide. Thats encouraging.


Not liking the colder weather.......................... Im a summer gal - but walking in the morning with the right layers is enjoyable.

Great weather for the Monster Dash in Point Beach! My legs are still very tired from Runner's World, so my time wasn't what it could be, but it was a great race and a great day! Two of my friend's got age group prizes (my friend's daughter was 4th female over all at the ripe age of 13) and we all had a great time!

Tomorrow is the Monster Dash in Point Beach, it will be my third year running it. It may be my favorite race, since it is close to home and almost everyone wears costumes! last year I won a candlestick and candles that drip red, which was fun! I hope to win again this year (not race awards, these are just drawings that everyone is entered into!)

just got home from my morning power walk. FINALLY getting back to some kind of healthy eating and workout routine. Needed to see that 141 number on the scale to say WHOA----
out of control. Happy to catch it at plus 4 pounds............. rather than having to lose much more.
I still have a 130 goal............................... so now Im 9 pounds away again since Im down at 139 again.........................

Brrrrr its chilly outt there with frost on the windshield this morning. Not exactly ready for winter.

But I guess its coming anyway

Thanks Bob! I am glad your didn't get shut down, I had friends who ran it, and it was very stressful for them!
Bethlehem is very hilly! I have run races in Pennsylvania before, so I knew what to expect, but it was still a shock to the system!

I did the Runners World Hat Trick this weekend in Bethlehem PA. It is super hilly and now I am super sore, but I have 3 medals (5k and 10K on Saturday and Half Marathon on Sunday), a cool hat and great memories!

Jumped on the scale and there it was 142................... but Ive been doing some mood eating and not really exercising so I expected it.

Time to get moving - and to keep my mouth closed.........................I know better than this.

spent the day at the shore waiting for furniture and appliances to be delivered. Loved everything I picked out. So hard to see something in the store and then like it in your home. Room sizes so hard to judge.

This has always been my favorite time of year ever since I was a kid....I love everything about it especially no air conditioning, or heater yet.....Love having all the windows open in my house and still able to enjoy the outside before it gets too cold. Great sleeping weather. I'm also loving all the great apples I've been getting this season so far too especially the Honey Crisps. Usually for a snack I'll have a great big glass of water and grab a apple from the bin all nice and cold, but I never seem to get to have a whole one by myself....my Golden Retriever Harley is always right there staring....giving me the stink eye for a share of the booty...It's always nice to share a snack with a buddy.... :) emoticon emoticon HAPPY AUTUMN JERSEY PEOPLE!!!!

If I dont change.....................bad habits - and replace them with good ones................. I surely cannot expect my body and mind to change.

Loving this weather, did some much needed yard work yesterday, trimming bushes, etc. well not much me doing the trimming but I did rake and pick up the scraps, so that could be considered some sort of exercise :/ The thing I think I most enjoyed is that we didn't have to get in the car and go somehwere...seems like all we do these days are errands. Felt good to just stay home for a change.

Hello dear friends...oh how I've missed you all! I am happy to finally have the time to stop by for a visit. It has been a hectic and stressful 6 weeks between home and work. Finally catching my breath as I said in my blog. Too little sleep & too much poor eating certainly has not helped me. This long weekend has given me a chance to catch up on work and re-evaluate & refocus my myself. I don't think the stress and pace at work will change but I am determine to change the way I handle it. With the holidays fast approaching, things can get even more hectic, but I am taking time to just breathe and pace myself. I hope to stop by more often.....well at least on the weekends! emoticon

Kimmi - my running days are over. I can do a little bit - but would never make a half. Dont think I can run straight through a 5k these days. Since I broke my foot in so many places with the bike accident..................... running isnt working for me. I can bike ride a zillion miles........... but cant do much longer distance running. At the gm on a treadmill - I do a 45 minute workout..................... running 5 minutes - then fast pace walking for 3 then going back to running. Im noticing I can go a bit longer........... but not marathon lenghttss yet.

Working on eating..................... properly and according to the challenge rules.

Good luck with your challenge!!! I joined a diet bet challenge to motivate me! This weekend is the AC Half, so I am carb loading, so I am guessing week one of this challenge won't be fabulous, but I will settle for weight maintenance or even a small loss! I have another Half the weekend after, in Bethlehem, so it really be carbs for 2 weeks. My taste buds will love me!

doing a 7 day c hallenge. I need to jump start some weight loss............ which will hopefully lead to some inches lost.

Hereis the challenge:
1. Drink water. A lot of water. At least 8 cups each day. Water can move mountains imagine what it can do for you!

2. Eat breakfast. Not just any breakfast but a breakfast of hearty grains, healthy fat and a bit of protein. Nothing stimulates the metabolism like a good breakfast. Skipping it or eating sugary crap, kills it!

3. Avoid added, refined sugar. Really this step is the one that will bring you closer to the best health ever, if you can stick to cutting it out of your diet. Nothing has contributed to human illness more than this one ingredient.

4. Eat greens at least twice a day, more if you can. For breakfast I eat wilted spinach with poached eggs. I whip greens like kale and spinach into a smoothie and I eat steamed, mixed greens like rapini and mustard greens for dinner. Plants rock the planet and keep you healthy. Just ask the wildlife. They get it already.

5. Make your bowels move. At least once a day is ideal. Help stubborn bowels move with one tablespoon of ground flaxseed tossed onto your morning breakfast cereal or greens. Those little seeds are mighty powerful indeed.

6. Eat one tablespoon of coconut oil per day. You can add it to a smoothie or cook with it. Either way it is a powerful healthy fat that is good for everything from skin, to hair to sex! Anti-viral too.

7. Move. Put your body through some kind of movement or motion every day. That hot little number called the human body needs action to look and feel supple, alive and strong. Twenty minutes a day should do it.


Let see what 7 days of good behavior and moving this body will do.

The weekend races went well. I did the Color Run in Lehigh Valley with the Teenie on Saturday, which was beautiful but hilly. I switched to some retired Brooks and the pain was less. Sunday was Race for the Cure, which was also fun, a little slow since I was sore from the Color Run, but the pain was almost gone.
Today I biked and ran, the weather is so great today! Minimal pain, some tightness, and my new shoes came! I plan to run a mile in them tomorrow and 3 on Thursday, to break them in before Sunday's Half in AC.

have a doctos appt this afternoon to find out whats going on in my chest. Ive been coughing for over a week. All the usual home remedies arent helping much. Time for a chest xray I guess.
Im sluggish from not sleeping well.................. hard to get a good nights sleep when you are coughing all night.

Although the day is overcast & drizzly, I'm trying to stay cheery. I'm one of those people who depend on nice, warm, sunny days. I've spent most of the day doing some Fall cleaning, but I've had enough of that for now - tomorrow is another day.

finally caught this crazy bug that is going around. Feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest and all Im doing is coughing. Doctor visit tomorrow for probably a chest xray.

Spending the day sorting through things to donate and get rid of. Looks like some rain is on its way.

Hello Ladies,

Yes this weather is emoticon ! Although, it has been warmer, it's still does not have the feel of summer heat. I took my AC out of my window when it was very cool in September. My fan has been doing okay.

Worked a temp job today, helping a warehouse do inventory, so was inside most of day. It was so nice when I came out, that I went for a walk in the park. The leaves are turning colors. I emoticon it.

2 Timothy 3:1 says, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come". Would you say we are in perilous times? I have been hearing of so much craziness going on in this world. So, many children are being killed senselessly. Would you believe, I saw on the internet where a mother microwaved her 11-month old baby! Are you kidding! What? And because, the father was disputing that the child was his. Horrible.

Praying for our country and this world is what we can do. And most of all trust in God, that He will fix this mess soon.

My run today was still painful, I have ordered my former style of shoes to see if that was the issue. I am thinking my new shoes just weren't the right style for me.
It was nice to see kids out and about this week, though. They were not allowed out for lunch Tuesday because of a robbery and Wednesday because of the gunman, so they needed it! How surreal to even be typing such things!

very scary with the Point stuff. It ended quickly but lots of people very shaken.

So much pressure on everyone with the govt issues - the gunman - and finances in general. Even more important to be sure we stay healthy

Hoping that everyone in the Point Beach/Boro is okay, I know that the incident in the Beach only ended in the gunman being injured, but I also know how stressful it was! My poor son texted me from school because he was scared, and worried. It was crazy!
The gunman was hiding after a domestic dispute in Brick last night and when he was discovered, it ended with him on a rooftop with a gun. Scary stuff! Luckily, no one was hurt but him!

It looks like my calendar is wrong - is it really Oct 1st? The weather is so delightful and each day this week is getting warmer. Of course I put my summer clothes away when the weather was chilly, so now I'm pulling some back out. This is crazy but I'm enjoying every minute of it because I know that winter's coming and I'm not a big fan of that season.
I plan to take a nice long walk this afternoon and enjoy this beautiful day.

Welcome to .... Summer?
lol this crazy Indian Summer, it is beautiful here at the shore today! I started a new job today, putting two adorable twins on the bus in the morning and picking them up after school. Of course, I also had to take the dog to the vet and I have a dentist's appointment!
I hope to squeeze a run in there today as well, hopefully before I pick them up today!

Looks like we are scheduled for a warm week................... sunny and warm all week. I tthink the weather is confused since it was chilly in Sept and is now supposed to be warm for oct.

Keep sparking...................... I have finally gotten back to a good routine of walking and exercising and even eating better. That all feels so good.
